******Scott McClellan (born February 14 , 1968 ) is a former White House Press Secretary (2003-2006) for President George W. Bush . On April 19 , 2006 , McClellan announced that he would be leaving the Administration but that he would remain in the position of Press Secretary until a replacement was selected. Tony Snow was announced as McClellan’s replacement on April 26 , 2006********

Agh - Tony Snow - what a savvy, decent, honorable gentleman - should have been PS from the get go.

What a POS. He was the worst Press Secretary ever, and now we know why.

Hey, Scottie. If you’re so damn high and mighty, why didn’t you “expose” all of this years ago? That you didn’t, if true, makes you worse than those you accuse. That’s how we know it’s not true.

BTW, how does it feel to have your azz kicked by Condi on a daily basis? BWWAAAA!!!!

ESAD, biatch!

Former White House press secretary Scott McClellan writes in a new memoir that the Iraq war was sold to the American people with a sophisticated “political propaganda campaign” led by President Bush and aimed at “manipulating sources of public opinion”...

“He describes Bush as demonstrating a “lack of inquisitiveness,” says the White House operated in “permanent campaign” mode...”

I don’t see how any of this is “news” or how any of it is seditious. EVERY SINGLE president in the history of the U.S. has shaded the truth and used propaganda to “sell” a war to the voters. EVERY SINGLE president attempts to “manipulate sources of public opinion,” and not just about war.

Runs in the family.

His mother, who was Mayor of Austin - which should tell you something - was a Dem until 1985 then switched parties to further her career. Then said she would run as an independent against Rick Perry.

Opportunism runs in the family.

The Bush family has such a long history of loyalty to their employees......sad that it’s not mutual.

You might want to ask Ashcroft about that. Or Powell. Or Rumsfeld.

That 'loyalty' seems to be a one-way street, with GW.

When he changed his stripes he should have told President Bush and left. He's a scuz.

War time geopolitics isn't about laying all your cards on the table.

I think the Bushes come from an era and a social class where that sort thing goes without saying. But in today's "authentic" society, that kind of discretion is not understood.

You uncovered some startling contradictions in *beam me up Scotty’s* descriptions.

One minute W is sophisticated - then lacks inquisitiveness.

What is it Scotty? Is W too complex, intellectual and politically savvy for your small brain?

This guy never should have been hired to begin with. As I recall it was a favor to his mother. I guess he couldn’t find a job on his own merits. The MSM used him as a daily punching bag and he had no clue how to handle it. Always was a pussy, still is.

Hasn’t she run full circle back to the Dems now? Bush hired Scotty as a favor to the mom, didn’t he? This guy was the worst Press Secretary ever and now is a complete ingrate. A pox on his house.

I don’t believe a word from his mouth...

he HAS to come up with something dirty and nasty to say, or he has no one to publish his book.

oh— and when someone sits in on cnversations at the White House, do they really get to publish those things in a book? Aren’t those conversations protected for securtiy reasons?

this guy us scum, just scum

Why is that officials that leave Republican administrations bash them after they leave? Because the ex-official knows it will play well in the media, and get them positive interviews and glowing book reviews.

If Obama is elected (God help us all), what do think ex-officials will say when they leave? There will probably be minor criticism, but most of Obama’s screwups will be blamed on the Bush administration. But I think that any ex-official of an Obama administration will know that if he wants to get a good job and not be called a racist, he better keep his criticism to a minimum no matter how incompetant the Obama administration.

"Responding to a request for comment, McClellan wrote in an e-mail: "Like many Americans, I am concerned about the poisonous atmosphere in Washington. "

Like he didn't just add to it! What a twit. George Bush's Achilles Heel has been his personnel selection.......Tenet, Bremer, Gonzales, McClellan to name a few.
