Obama: Endorsement by Hamas makes sense

Sen. Barack Obama has harshly criticized Sen. John McCain for making an issue of an endorsement by Hamas, but the Democratic candidate said in a new interview he understands why the terrorist group supports his presidential bid.

"It's conceivable that there are those in the Arab world who say to themselves, 'This is a guy who spent some time in the Muslim world, has a middle name of Hussein and appears more worldly and has called for talks with people, and so he's not going to be engaging in the same sort of cowboy diplomacy as George Bush,'" Obama told the Atlantic magazine.

"That's a perfectly legitimate perception as long as they're not confused about my unyielding support for Israel's security," the Illinois senator said.

The controversy unfolded last month when Hamas political adviser Ahmed Yousef told WND's Aaron Klein, author of "Schmoozing with Terrorists," and WABC radio his group hopes Obama will win the presidential election and change America's foreign policy.

What a profound observation, Senator. Indeed, how could Neanderthals still stuck in the 7th century be confused about anything?

I don't think Barak confused Hamas. They know he is just fibbing to us infidels. It's called Taqiya.

Oh brother...putting a happy face on this one is seriously poor judgment. Anyone who knows even a little bit about Islam knows they want to take conquer the world completely for Islam. They are very patient and know it'll only take time, because the west has lost it's will to fight. If Obama wins we can look for nothing but cooperation with Islamic country and appeasement, which never works with bully's.

unyielding support for Israel's security

I don't believe that line for one minute.

Unyielding support for Israel’s security? What about unyielding support for America’s security?

"Oh, and one more thing," Obama continued, "my wife was talking about Whitey Ford. She hates Whitey, yes, but it's Whitey Ford and what he used to do to the 'Sox. Her father was at some of the games back in the 1950s. Bigots are using sound bites over and over to distort just like with Rev. Wright."

No.. Obama didn't really say the latter (yet). But it's no less nuttier than his real statement.

Well, if he thinks that it makes sense, he won’t mind if I refer to him as Barak Hussein “ObaHamas”

RE: "ObaHamas"

Good one!

IMO Barack [let no mortal Westerner know what's behind these brackets] Obama's "explanation" is nutty.

Why? Because the Arab street was reacting to "cowboy actions" before any existed.. like on 9/11/01 when they celebrated wildly in those very same Arab streets, mosques, homes, schools, TV stations, radio stations, military bases, government buildings, retail stores. . . . .

His explanation is tortured at best ... (pun intended).

That aside, if he thinks that an explanation like this makes any sense at all, he should feel free to use it during the general election.... and watch peoples' eyes galze over.

Of course, that means that McLame would be POTUS ... (sigh!)

The ObaHamas campaign strategy seems to be working ... The Three B's, Bullsh*t Baffles Brains.

And here’s another one. Ugh!

That a Hamas-preferred candidate would be a viable one is appalling. I just hope that McCain continues to bring this up.

“Unyielding support for Israel’s security? What about unyielding support for America’s security?”

He doesn’t care about that either. Remember, he attends a church whose pastor blood libeled the United States by accusing it of inventing the AIDS virus.
