About This Legislation:
6/28/2007—Introduced. Amends the Communications Act of 1934 to prohibit the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), notwithstanding any other provision of any Act, from having the authority to require broadcasters to present opposing viewpoints on controversial issues of public importance, commonly referred to as the Fairness Doctrine.
Please post this again tomorrow and again the next day. It is late on the East Coast so to be seen that would be best.
If the Fairness Doctrine is imposed, broadcasts should be monitored, and anytime anyone on radio or TV speaks against ANYTHING—slavery, the Holocaust, the war in Iraq, tax cuts, miscegenation laws, wife-beating, etc., a lawsuit should be filed if the opposing view is not given equal time—and not a 4 AM.
If the Fairness Doctrine is truly fully implemented during the next Congress and during the next Presidential term, then it will eventually kill off both the Republican Party and U.S. Conservatism. Also, eventually allowing illegal immigrants the legal right to vote in all future U.S. elections will help to speed up the deaths of both the R’s and U.S. conservatism as well as help to create long-term socialism throughout the U.S. This is OT, but McCain would help increase his chances with some voters on November 4 if he seriously picked Mike Pence as his final VP choice. Me, I see too many things in common on too many issues between both Obama and “assiduous conservative back stabber” McCain along with seeing McCain truly doing much more long-term damage to the Republican Party compared to the Democrats that I will have a protest vote for Chuck Baldwin of the Constitution Party instead on November 4. Duncan Hunter was my choice for POTUS, and I’m truly not a fan of the idea of write-ins for POTUS/V.P.
Doesn’t McCain favor “The Fairness Doctrine”?
