I Do Not Trust Obama’s Judgment
newsmax.com ^ | May 12, 2008 | Edward I. Koch

Sen. Barack Obama won the North Carolina primary by 14 percentage points. Sen. Hillary Clinton won the Indiana primary by a narrower margin of 2 percent. Neither candidate scored a knockout punch, but Obama came out ahead.

Clearly Obama who had the most to lose — it would have been considered a huge loss if Indiana went big for Hillary — also had the most to gain. The race goes on and will go on until a decision is made at the Democratic National Convention in Denver. The fat lady here is Hillary, and she won’t sing. I’m part of her primary campaign until she wins or withdraws.

I simply do not trust Obama’s judgment.

Obama’s actions in not standing up to the Rev. Jeremiah Wright and protest the minister’s attacks on white America, the United States government and the state of Israel, and his support of Minister Louis Farrakhan, are important matters.

No one accuses Obama of adopting any of Wright’s positions as his own.

Indeed, he has denounced them. But his denouncement comes 20 years too late and only after Wright denounced his heretofore devoted congregant as a hypocrite for conveying his disagreement with his minister, stating at the National Press Club on April 28th, "We both know that, if Senator Obama did not say what he said, he would never get elected. Politicians say what they say and do what they do based on electability, based on sound bites, based on polls, Huffington, whoever's doing the polls. Preachers say what they say because they're pastors."

I wonder if Ed gets behind McCain when all’s done.

Here’s a nice campaign ad for John McCain. You can’t beat it when other Democrats are critical of Obama. Hillary has said a few choice things that can be used in ads too.

Alas, we don’t trust Oprah’s Obama’s judgment at all, but the American people in their lack of wisdom surely seem to do so.

We are now engaged in a war against Islamic terrorism and are in need of someone who can be trusted to advocate on behalf of the United States.

Obama may not be the one...

Mr. Obama recalled the opening lines of the Arabic call to
prayer, reciting them with a first-rate accent. In a remark that
seemed delightfully uncalculated [...], Mr. Obama described the
call to prayer as "one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at
sunset."

Speaking of Obama's dubious judgement, why don't we seize the opportunity provided by the MSM's deification of Obama to permanently de-claw the IRS?

This post (<-click), while addressing taxes, helps to explain why government "leaders" like Obama are actually in contempt of the Constitution that they have sworn to defend, foolishly following in the footsteps of FDR's dirty federal spending politics. In fact, the article referenced below shows that Obama is the #1 federal spending proposer in the Senate for '08; Clinton is #2.

Obama, a big-shot federal spender
The people need to reconnect with the Founder's division of federal and state government powers. The people then need to wise up to the major problem that the federal government is not operating within the restraints of the federal Constitution, particularly where constitutionally unauthorized federal spending is concerned.

The bottom line is that the people need to send big-shot, Constitution-ignoring federal spenders like Obama home as opposed to trying to send people like him to the Oval Office. The people need to get in the faces of the feds, demanding a stop to constitutionally unauthorized federal spending while appropriately lowering federal taxes - or get out of DC.

The right Reverend Wright affair revealed that Obama, in opposing the Iraq war to the extent that he did, did not do so as a product of judgment(good or otherwise) but as the reflex of an ideologue.
