Brave New Liberal Schools: Parents Angry at 3rd-Grade Transgender Counseling Sessions

Anger at 1-Day notice School Gave Parents

Brave New Liberal Schools

A Pennsylvania elementary school has confirmed its membership in the "Brave New Liberal Schools" club by holding counseling sessions with 100 3rd-grade students to announce that one of the boys would soon start showing up at school in girls' clothing and taking a female name.

Counselors will ask the 3rd-graders to accept the boy as a girl and not to make childish remarks that may be unkind.

The exercise in "social transition" was initiated by the boy's parents who approached the administration at Chatham Park Elementary School in Haverford Township asking that the school help in having their child's female identity find acceptance among his peers. After consulting experts on transgender children, the Haverford School District sent letters to parents advising them the school guidance counselor would meet with their children, reported the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Some of the parented contacted the principal asking him to excuse their children that day, while others turned to one of the few things that is proved to modify the behavior of brave new educators: mass parental anger.

What did the parents have to say about this?

The parents of one student set the agenda for the other 100 parents in the class. Where does it end? Or does it?

“Where does it end?”

The only way it ends is when people stop sending their children to them. No other way.

Sounds like he could be the next Ed Gein

Hey, look at what government schools are up to now!

IMHO, helping get kids out of those places and finding alternatives should be a priority of the Libertarian movement.

Hey, look at what I found!

What’s most shocking about this is that it’s no longer shocking. I’m very live-and-let-live, but don’t foist this stuff on innocent children.

I disagree. This sort of nonsense never should’ve got going in the first place. My liberal pals complain about these sorts of things yet my response is “What political party/philosophy allowed it to get to this point in the first place”?

Things won’t change by reacting after-the-fact. People need to wake up and start voting the bastards out who promote or permit this sort of crap in the first place. PC is the enemy and it is protected by people who can’t see the forest for the trees and vote in the same idiotic politicians.

The stories that I have read about this kid have been suspiciously nondescript of its' parents. I suspect that this is one of those two 'mommy' families and the 'boy' is reacting to his environment.

It might stop when the boy gets his snotlocker busted by a couple of those 100 3rd graders outside the school yard.

It could be a child who was born with ambiguous sex organs, and the parents waited for the kid to decide which way to go before embarking on surgery. However, if this is the case, the child needed to move or change schools before switching sexual identity. This is beyond ridiculous to involve other children in a personal medical problem.

If this is not the case, if it’s a real boy who just wants to be a girl at age 8, shame on every adult who has allowed it to go this far.

Quote from link below: "What do you do when a 9-year-old student, with the full support of his parents, decides that he is no longer a boy and instead is a girl?"

To me, it sounds like the kid woke up one day and decided he wanted to be a girl and the parents people responsible for him decided to play along.

It has become chic for the minority to dictate to the majority.

What the hell is wrong with the parents of this 3rd grade boy that they are allowing him to dress like a girl and take a girl's name?

Instead of calling for the abolition of the public system and assume all the infrastructure will materialize, build the private (and affordable) educational infrastructure first. That will increase their appeal to all parties, whether or not they are parents.

The marxist nazis are firmly in control of the public schools, thanks to the democrat party. Mass protests, mass disobedience, mass visits to the principal’s office will only slow them down. The only answer is to support private Christian or Jewish schools and to send your kids there.

That’s a good idea, but it will take time and money.

The quickest, cheapest and most efficient way to defund the Left is for every family that can homeschool to do so.

When people complain about it, there is an opportunity for profit.
My daughter starts private kindergarten this fall, in one started because parents complained about public school. Now if only the offered 1-12, too!

yea, libertarians should focus on education and the promotion of charter and vouchers schools with the end goal being abolition of the public socialized education system. Doing this will change society more than any other tinkerings, IMO.

I sincerely doubt that the child had any real independent input in this matter; getting “beat up” by the other children wouldn’t do anything but hurt and confuse him further.

The idea that somehow this child made this choice - at the tender age of nine - is precisely the propaganda that his handlers want others to accept. Adults would do well to remember that this child CANNOT make this choice on his own; only his “counselors” and parents can encourage and authorize this “gender change”. The decision lies with them.
