The parents of one student set the agenda for the other 100 parents in the class. Where does it end? Or does it?

“Where does it end?”

The only way it ends is when people stop sending their children to them. No other way.

one of the boys would soon start showing up at school in girls' clothing and taking a female name.

Sounds like he could be the next Ed Gein

Hey, look at what government schools are up to now!

IMHO, helping get kids out of those places and finding alternatives should be a priority of the Libertarian movement.

Hey, look at what I found!

What’s most shocking about this is that it’s no longer shocking. I’m very live-and-let-live, but don’t foist this stuff on innocent children.

The stories that I have read about this kid have been suspiciously nondescript of its' parents. I suspect that this is one of those two 'mommy' families and the 'boy' is reacting to his environment.

It might stop when the boy gets his snotlocker busted by a couple of those 100 3rd graders outside the school yard.

It has become chic for the minority to dictate to the majority.

What the hell is wrong with the parents of this 3rd grade boy that they are allowing him to dress like a girl and take a girl's name?

The marxist nazis are firmly in control of the public schools, thanks to the democrat party. Mass protests, mass disobedience, mass visits to the principal’s office will only slow them down. The only answer is to support private Christian or Jewish schools and to send your kids there.

I hope these “parents” can’t find a doctor to mutilate this child. I suppose the’ll have to go overseas to have the vile deed done.

I think the whole of it is absurd. That said, if the parents really wanted a smooth transition for their son to become a girl in the 3rd grade, all they had to do is transfer him/her to a new school where the general population will not be predisposed to name calling and bullying.

Why put your son through such social stigma? 3rd grade boys are for the most part not even ready to explore their sexuality, much less make a lifelong decision regarding it. Most of them still think girls have cooties.

You make choices in your life and you live the consequences. This boy/girl is likely going to be the butt of every joke from now until high school graduation. It will adversely affect his studies, his social life, his safety/well being (both physical and mental). He will probably be made to feel miserable by his peers. All in all it’s just a bad idea.
