Huffington Compares Media to 'Pontius Pilate' on Global Warming

Arianna Huffington, a pioneer of and cheerleader for the new media has abandoned traditional media standards.

Huffington, editor-in-chief and co-founder of The HuffingtonPost Web site, said that listening to both sides for a story isn’t the way to report the news. According to Huffington, it should be the role of the media to be the arbiter truth, even if there is a dissenting view.

“What happens is that the media have the position to presenting two sides to every story, even if the truth is only on one side or the other,” Huffington said. “And then, the idea is if you split the difference, you get to the truth. You know, that’s not how it works. You know, the truth is not always on one side or the other. Sometimes – the truth is not always in the middle – sometimes it lurks in the shadows, so that’s why it’s critically important that we look at how the media has played this game.”

I don’t know about Pontius Pilate. I think of the “media” as being more along the lines of Goofy or Daffy Duck.

Total freakin GIBBERISH.

There's GOOD gibberish and there's bad gibberish. H.R. Huffenpuffenstuff's claptrap is definitely in the "bad gibberish" column.

The beauty of free speech is that it exposes the truly moronic among us.

Maybe they could call this point of view the "Ministry of Truth."

You know, the truth is not always on one side or the other. Sometimes – the truth is not always in the middle – sometimes it lurks in the shadows...

And sometimes it is nowhere to be found. That's when you know you're reading The HuffingtonPost.

Amen. How did this idiot bimbo ever attain status as even a minor pundit? She gives new life to the old "airhead" moniker

Anyone who has SO obviously taken English lessons from Eva Gabor (and, evidently, failed most of them) should STFD and STFU.

LOL! Been overseas a couple of months now and reading the Stars & Stripes as my primary hardcopy news. On Mondays the S&S features Huffington and Ann Coulter on the editorial page. Arianna is WAY OUT THERE! No wonder her husband left her for a man....

How old is Huffington? Not trying to crack wise here, but she seems to be a very confused individual. Last week I read a column by her in which she complained bitterly because a few of the socialist Democrat newsrooms had hired token conservatives. She really does seem to believe that opinions other than hers are not only to be dismissed, but totally squelched.

Is she about 75 or so? Though many people remain sharp as a tack even up to 100+ years old, many other people suffer an onset of dementia at a much younger age.

Huffington may be demented, but she is probably the perfect loudmouth to be our own “canary in the coalmine” when it comes to the boiling rage many socialists are feeling these days now that their “global warming” hoax has been exposed and is beginning to fall to pieces.

I expect similar, if more cleverly written, tantrums from many other liberal Democrats and Euro-socialists to begin trickling out over the next couple of months.
