It sounds like this fellow was poor and trying to support his aged mother. Somehow he heard that there was a good market for cat gut and where does one get cat gut except from cats? He tried to corner the market but demand cooled off and now he’s in hot water. But he has the equipment to take a shot at it later. Police say his assets will soon be frozen. Don’t get a hairball over it, just toss a few bucks into the kitty for his defense.

We did cats in college, and also at the HS where I taught biology. They generally looked like alley cats, and you could order pregnant ones too.

I saw something similar to this on one of the Animal Planet’s “Animal Cops” shows. A hoarder couldn’t figure out what to do with his cats when they died so he bagged them and stuck them in the freezer. The SPCA people were gagging.

He should’ve bought the heavier duty 500 cat capacity freezer instead of wimping out with the 250 cat capacity freezer. That’s probably what gave him away....
