RUSH: You superdelegates in the Democrat Party, you're worried about denying Obama the nomination because you fear that your black voters will abandon you permanently? Come, come! Review your history with me once again. You Democrats have already done far worse to black voters than yanking the nomination away from Barack Obama. Have no fear, superdelegates. Be confident. Blacks will stay with you. So will Jesse Jackson, so will Al Sharpton

Now, however, Rush is admitting that this won't happen. He is admitting that the black vote will stay with Hillary.
In the alternative, the argument was made that Operation Chaos would help keep Hillary in even though Obama was a stronger candidate.
Now, however, the polls show that Hillary would beat McCain and Obama wouldn't.
It becomes increasingly clear that either Rush is making this up as he goes along or is actively working to get Hillary the nomination and perhaps event the presidency.
Remember: as recently as February, Rush told the Washington Post he would rather see a Democrat elected than McCain.
Apparently, Hillary is his gal.
One more example of Rush talking out of both sides of his mouth on Operation Chaos.
I don’t know. I was listening to some liberal talk show host and there is talk if Hillary gets the nod, the black voters are gonna make it ‘rain for McCain’, indicating that they are actively gonna work to get voters out to vote for McCain.
Yep...that’s been pretty clear to a few of us all long and believe me, we have been mightedly abused for saying so.
I have heard several mentions by blacks that there will be “rain for McCain”.
Duh, Ya think?
Didnt Rush support Bill Clintons initial run for president?
Heh.. something to ponder...
Either way, however, Rush keeps contradicting himself on the whole point of “operation chaos.”
One day, it’s “nominate the weaker candidate” which he claims is Hillary. Then, when Obama looks weaker, it’s “make the black vote abandon the party.” The next day it’s “the black vote won’t leave the DNC.” The next day it’s something else.
He’s either making it up as he goes along or he’s still hoping for a Hillary win, ala his comments in February.
He's all about ratings. He knows that Hillary as President would make him rich(er).
Rush -- once very important and useful as a conservative voice -- sold out.
I too don’t see blacks abandoning the dem party. I don’t however, see them voting Hillary in if she steals the nomination from Obama.
Now, however, Rush is admitting that this won’t happen. He is admitting that the black vote will stay with Hillary.
He’s not admitting, he’s claiming. Getting the super delegates to switch to Hillary will only keep the chaos going longer. With a candidate like McCain, Rush and the GOP have to use every trick in the book.
When did he say that. The purpose of operation chaos is weaken whatever candidate gets the nod. It is not that difficult.
The hell with Rush, I could care less what he says. Hillary the liar or Obama the empty suit, McCain will kick the sh*t out of both of them.
Name one thing he’s done to weaken Hillary.
It has handed the nomination to Hillary and probably the general to her as well.
Worst conservative idiocy in 30 years.
“He’s all about ratings. He knows that Hillary as President would make him rich(er). Rush — once very important and useful as a conservative voice — sold out.”
Whatever Rush’s motivations, don;t get confused into thinking that stumping for McCain is working for the “conservative cause.”
I for one and for a long time have believed that as a movement the conservatives would be much better off with a Dem in office for 2008. It’s a lot easier for Republican’s to block a Dem than it is for them to block a so-called Republican.
Also, four years of obstruction is much better than what might be accomplished with a RINO President.
Let the impeachment hearings begin!
I’ve been saying all along that Rush WANTS a Hillary presidency because of the imact it will have on his pocketbook.
As long as there are idiotic liberals running around, Rush will get ratings and make money. Rush has not really effected the race that much, but he is having fun spinning up the liberals. I am just kind of shocked so many conservatives are getting spun up over this.
Don’t agree.
We wouldn’t have found out about Jeremiah Wright if Obama had had an uncontested run to the Democratic Convention.
Now, the numbers in the Democrat Primaries might have forced a convention fight anyway, or Operation Chaos might have been the deciding factor - but either way we are beholding a total meltdown and divisive primary season in the Dem party. How can Rush be said to be on the wrong side of that?
The Winner!!! You hit the nail on the head. Some blacks will always vote the straight dem line, so she will garner their support, but a large and detrimental number to Hillary’s campaign will never vote for Billary because of their racist tactics in SC and beyond. Not gonna happen.
