Is the Criminal-Justice System Racist?

The race industry and its elite enablers take it as self-evident that high black incarceration rates result from discrimination. At a presidential primary debate this Martin Luther King Day, for instance, Senator Barack Obama charged that blacks and whites “are arrested at very different rates, are convicted at very different rates, [and] receive very different sentences . . . for the same crime.” Not to be outdone, Senator Hillary Clinton promptly denounced the “disgrace of a criminal-justice system that incarcerates so many more African-Americans proportionately than whites.”

If a listener didn’t know anything about crime, such charges of disparate treatment might seem plausible. After all, in 2006, blacks were 37.5 percent of all state and federal prisoners, though they’re under 13 percent of the national population. About one in 33 black men was in prison in 2006, compared with one in 205 white men and one in 79 Hispanic men. Eleven percent of all black males between the ages of 20 and 34 are in prison or jail. The dramatic rise in the prison and jail population over the last three decades—to 2.3 million people at the end of 2007 (see box)—has only amplified the racial accusations against the criminal-justice system.

If one race commits more crimes than others, it’s a safe bet that race will be arrested and convicted more.

But then I’m just another typical, bitter, white guy. What do I know ‘cept to keep clingin’ to my guns and my Bible.

We could improve that ratio if the Clintons were behind bars...

Do white people have jobs in the justice system?

Then yes it is.

Remember: all white people are racist. You can say it’s inherent in their race.

(/sarcasm)

Moving up the enforcement chain, the campaign against the criminal-justice system next claims that prosecutors overcharge and judges oversentence blacks. Obama describes this alleged postarrest treatment as “Scooter Libby justice for some and Jena justice for others.”

Obama's a racist. No doubt about it. He couldn't care about the white kid who had been beaten unconscious.

Obama describes this alleged postarrest treatment as “Scooter Libby justice for some and Jena justice for others.”

Meaning Obama plays the same political race card games as Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and all the other race hustlers. All hope that he would change anything is so much myth.

Obama sure has made a big difference in the Criminal Justice area as he kept those criminals at Rezko & co. close so he could keep an eye on them while he single handedly stopped the crime wave in South Chicago...at least that is what the Messiah’s website indicated he did while he was the Superduper Community Activist.

The point is prison can be an act of compassion. Not just for the innocent victims of crime but for the criminals as well. It offers them the chance to turn their lives around by instilling them a sense of accountability for their actions. Civilization in our world hangs by a thin thread and only by enforcing the law do we get to preserve it.
