MORTALLY wounded and bleeding profusely, Pela Atroshi covered her head with her hands, pleading "please don't shoot me, please don't shoot me". As her sister and her mother screamed, her uncle Rezkar Atroshi raised his gun and killed her. The family's honour had been cleansed.
Rezkar had already shot Pela twice in the back in the upstairs room. Helped downstairs by her mother and her younger sister, the 19-year-old Kurdish Swede was confronted by four resolute men - her father and his three brothers. The men pulled the women apart. Her youngest uncle then finished the job, shooting Pela in the head. The bullet went through one of her fingers and into her brain.
The decision to kill her was made by a council of male relatives, led by Pela's grandfather, Abdulmajid Atroshi - a Kurd who lived in Australia.
One of his sons, Shivan Atroshi, helped pull the women away from Pela so his younger brother could get a clean shot. Shivan, too, lived in Australia.
It is the first time an officially confirmed honour killing with a connection to Australia has ever publicly come to light, but it is likely there have been other Australian-connected honour crimes that have been kept hidden within the tight-lipped Australian Kurdish community.
Pela Atroshi's murder in Dohuk, in Iraqi Kurdistan, was officially deemed an honour killing by both Iraqi and Swedish authorities.

Hmmm, honor killing among Muslims. So, what else is new.
This is typical, quite normal for muzzies. And it is starting to surface here in the U.S.
It makes a mockery of the ridiculous notion that all cultures are equal, a notion so eagerly embraced by liberals.
Quite possibly Islam is a communicable disease that should be quarantined, with exceptionally infected areas "sterilized" in some manner.
This is a muzzie’s idea of a post-partum abortion (what is 19 or 20 years in the relative scheme of things?). So of course it will be happily championed by the American left.
Damn! These islamic murderers get away scot free. Where’s Pela’s justice?
Hey, it’s called DIVERSITY.
And President Obama will make sure we all RESPECT diversity here at home too.
OR ELSE.
Quite possibly Islam is a communicable disease that should be quarantined, with exceptionally infected areas "sterilized" in some manner.I don't know about "sterilizing" anybody but I do think that Islam is the most radical form of mental illness on the planet. And I'm not trying to be funny when I say that.
I find it appalling that the Feminist movement isn't on board with the War on Terrorism. The Feminists are Facists who don't care a Fig about actual women's rights, only the power of their own select group.
They wouldn't stop to pee on a Muzziette if she were on fire.
Pela was an intelligent and good-looking girl. When she emigrated with her family to Sweden in 1995, she took to Swedish ways - eventually leaving the family home in January 1999. But after a time she missed her parents and six younger brothers and sisters and returned, agreeing to an arranged marriage in Kurdistan. It was a front - the men in her family had decided to kill her in their home town of Dohuk, northern Iraq, where honour killings were considered minor crimes, and where the Atroshi clan commanded immense respect.I've read this kind of story many times in the past, where a westernized-muzzie is lured home by sweet talk by the family and then killed for their efforts to reunite.
What a lousy stinking filthy way to live, to think, to breathe. Muzzies are garbage.
Feminism is not about women. It is about marxism and the total state. Feminism is one path.
Savages
At its core Islam is an insane murder cult, from Mad Mo until today.
Stone-age thugs. -Wb
“..but I do think that Islam is the most radical form of mental illness on the planet.”
That’s why our country and Europe is slowly turning into an insane asylum as a result of Muslim immigration.
How can a muslim commit an “honor” killing?
Seems to me like “muslim honor” is the ultimate oxymoron.
Already started in 1989 with the honor killing of Palestina (Tina) Isa by both her parents. It happened in South St Louis. Tina had an African American boyfriend and got a job at a fast food restaurant. Her Palestinian father was being phone tapped (unmonitored) because he was suspected of terrorist activities. She was held down by her mother and stabbed to death by her father. When auditing the phone tap tapes the authorities realized they had it all on tape. The parents were sentenced to death, but the father Zein Isa died of natural causes before he could be executed, and the mothers sentence was commuted.
Tina was an honor student that just wanted to be an American. At least she got some justice. Rest in Peace Tina.
But honor killing appears to be particularly prevalent in Kurdistan, and we are told that the Kurds are our allies in the war on terror. One of the first consequences of the establishment of the independent zone in northern Iraq, in the early 1990s, was a wave of killings of women associated with Baathist policies of working outside the home.
Also, in Iran, honor killing is not much practiced among Persians - who look down on it as tribal trash - but is known as a frequent problem in the Kurdish minority. When they get hanged, it is often classified as Iranian govt repression and we are encouraged to rescue them from all that.
An Interpol investigation in 2000 found that Shivan Atroshi was not at the time living in Australia, although he may have since returned. One person in Sydney's Kurdish community said he believed the Atroshi grandfather - once a freedom fighter - had hidden in Kurdistan, but had sporadically returned to Australia in recent years.
But, the Muzzies are taking over in the US. I am afraid for my daughter, and her kids, and their eventual boyfriends/girlfriends. We need to halt the Muzzies NOW.
