It was "not the joyous party that we had wished it to be," Rogge said in BeijingWhat kind of freaking idiot expects to have a "joyous party" in the middle of a savage police state? How stupid can you get Rogge. Wait'll you see how the a-hole chinese treat visitors when they appear in mass numbers. Can you say criminal thugs in blue suits?

Its unfortunate that China cant keep its promises, the way civilized countries do.Why would anyone expect anything better. One thing you can take to the bank--when the chips are down the chinese will act like chinese. Adjust your expectations accordingly and you won't be disappointed.

Beijing insists its security forces have killed no one while trying to quell the protests, but that Tibetan "rioters" killed 20 people. However China sealed off the areas to foreign reporters and other independent monitors... I don't recall the USA (or anybody else) sealing off parts of the country from visitors during the Olympics.
