If McCain met Obama in a televised debate, it’d be Kennedy/Nixon amplified to the Nth degree. To most undecided/swing voters (IE morons), it’ll be a fresh young charismatic change agent against an octagenarian warmonger representing all that is establishment. In reality... we’re in for a rough, rough 4 years no matter who wins.

SV is as biased as it gets.
Even though the bias is well to the right - for a change - it is not very indicative of what is going to happen in November.

Pa has not voted for a pub in 20 years, and I see little there to change that trend.

But if mighty O is the nominee he had better think over his VP choice pretty carefully.
Plus, it will force some big spending in a formerly solid blue state for the dems.

>>McCain leads Obama in blue New York<<

Does anybody actually believe NY will vote for a R POTUS? NY even voted for Dukakis.

Fast Eddy controls the Pa polls. More specifically, he controls the Philly polls. Philly will be late with their count.

Have you noticed that the individual state polls are so completely different from InTrade?

It’s almost as if someone is manipulating the InTrade market to make it look like McCain is going to lose, knowing there are a lot of people who trust the results from InTrade more than polls.

Excuse me .
You compare the hell on earth that a radical white hater, America hater, Jew hater, Military hater named Obama will do to this country to a John MCCain administration !

Possibly

But keep in mind that Kennedy ended up beating Nixon by a whopping 49.7% to 49.5%, a closer result than Bush v Gore was.

He also had a lot of help from LBJ cheating in TX and the Daley machine cheating in IL and scrounging up votes.

Also, one thing not often remembered is that Nixon went into the hospital in September for a few weeks because of a car accident and infection and that had a lot to do with his sickly demeanor and absence from the trail fro a while that cost him.

Given everything going on this year, I’d feel pretty good if McCain was neck and neck with Obama come October. Remember, Dole was behind Clinton by 15-20 pts.

I lived in PA over 20 years ago. I know it's changed but my wife has relatives there and I can't see the Euro-Americans voting for Obama. Not because he's Afro-Euro-American but because he's Obama with too many ties too black and white radicals. The Dems I knew there were yellow dogs in some cases but they were family and Conservative working class at their core. I could see them vote for Hillary but Obama, No.

Obama is an absurd anti war leftist candidate, as was McGovern. If anything, Obama has far less gravitas than McGovern. Sadly the country has drifted left, but maybe not that far left.

PA has not voted for a black presidential candidate since....well never.

JFK was a staunch anticommunist...Obama would resurrect Saddam Hussein and reinstall him as dictator of Iraq if he could.

JFK lowered taxes. Obama would give us a massive tax increase to pay for his health care/child care et al.

Obama has Michell ....well Michelle is no Jacklyn .

Obama is a Unitarian..... Kennedy was a Catholic.

Obama is closer to McGovern than JFK.

There are 208 days until Election Day. That’s an eternity in politics. Anything can happen.

Would it help if John McCain picked former PA Senator, Rick Santorum, for his VEEP? Would that help the GOP carry PA?

Probably not; Rick couldn’t win reelection in ‘06 even though he was running against an idiot.
