Teacher breaks wall of silence at state's Muslim public school (Islamic Double Standard in MN)
StarTribune ^ | 4-09-08 | Katherine Kersten

Posted on 04/09/2008 8:05:12 AM PDT by AngryCapitalist

Recently, I wrote about Tarek ibn Ziyad Academy (TIZA), a K-8 charter school in Inver Grove Heights. Charter schools are public schools and by law must not endorse or promote religion.

Evidence suggests, however, that TIZA is an Islamic school, funded by Minnesota taxpayers.

TIZA has many characteristics that suggest a religious school. It shares the headquarters building of the Muslim American Society of Minnesota, whose mission is "establishing Islam in Minnesota." The building also houses a mosque. TIZA's executive director, Asad Zaman, is a Muslim imam, or religious leader, and its sponsor is an organization called Islamic Relief.

If they were teaching Christianity, the ACLU would hit the roof.

Well, it says that the ACLU is investigating in the article. Maybe they'll do something useful for once.

The AntiChristian League seeks the destruction of the experiment that is American liberty.

Amazing...simply amazing that MN would fund a madrassa with taxpayer funds.

(the)Muslim American Society of Minnesota, whose mission is "establishing Islam in Minnesota."

Oh, it's much more than that. Establishing and training American born jihadists. Brainwashed from birth to hate everything that isn't Islam.
If they were Mormons, they'd be raided by now and the children all heading off to be deprogrammed.

The building also houses a mosque.

Well of course. That's where it all begins, hours and hours, day after day, year after year of mindless reciting, chanting and relentless prostrating to reach the mind-numbing, hypnotic state- that tells the Imam that his job is near complete, he has permanently destroyed a young mind.

TIZA's executive director, Asad Zaman, is a Muslim imam, or religious leader, and its sponsor is an organization called Islamic Relief.

But of course. They have to have some means of sending money to the Jihadists so they can replenish their weapons.

It’s not a religion they’re promoting. It’s a world domination movement cleverly disguised as a religion.

Tarek ibn Ziyad Academy named after a prominent military figure of Islamic History.. A general in the conquest of Spain in 711 AD..

I wonder if the Christians or Jews in Michigan could name a public school after a religious zealot/warrior and get away with it?

Perhaps the Joan of Arc Academy or perhaps the Maccabees Academy?

Exactly. Any public official who approved this has flagrantly violated his/her oath of office to support the Constitution of the United States!

Even if it were funded by the Saudi Government it would STILL violate “church and state”. Where does it say that foreign theocratic governments can fund the expansion of religious supremacist sects into this country while even private groups cannot fund reciprocal religious expansion in that country?

This list is for intellectual discussion of articles and issues related to public education (including charter schools) from the preschool to university level. Items more appropriately placed on the “Naughty Teacher” list, “Another reason to Homeschool” list, or of a general public-school-bashing nature will not be pinged.

If you would like to be on or off this list, please freepmail Amelia, Gabz, Shag377, or SoftballMominVa

The ACLU will “investigate” and determine that there is no problem here...then they’ll find another Christian to go after...

This is unacceptable. How do they get away with this?

Because our govt. not only accepts & approves, but encourages the promotion of Islam in our culture, while attempting to regulate the practice of Christianity in an attempt to deal with a "thorn in its side."

Has the infilitration of those promoting Islamic Law begun to prevent "government control?"

Either the govt doesn't want to do anything, it no longer can, or is afraid to.

Exactly. If that happened in Ohio, I would be writing my legislators and lighting a fire under them very quickly (not that it would do anything).
