Here's a deliciously inconvenient truth: five days after Nobel Laureate Al Gore told CBS's Lesley Stahl that folks who don't believe man is responsible for warming the planet are "like the ones who still believe that the moon landing was staged in a movie lot in Arizona and those who believe the Earth is flat," the BBC proclaimed "Global Temperatures 'To Decrease.'"
You really can't make this stuff up.

Unfortunately, the article that he quotes refers to “carbon monoxide” emissions. Of course it is carbon dioxide that has the wackos concerned.
But his point is well taken about global temperatures. The political motivation of the IPCC is plain to see.

Exactly what I was thinking. His timing was absolutely prefect.
None of this really matters. Especially when children are being indoctrinated with this AGW nonsense from the time they start school until they graduate. You would be hard-pressed to find one elementary student out of 10 who doesn’t believe the Earth is destined for destruction unless we, “Save the Planet”.

... but the AGW alarmists have the escuses all lined up, this is ‘hiding’ global warming as ‘variability’, but every warm weather event is not ‘variability’ but Global Warming.
The key is the long-term overall trend.
If this trend continues, then 2008 will be cooler for USA than some years in the 1930s.
Climate Realism: Global Warming due to CO2 is a real effect, actual warming due to CO2 has lower magnitude than IPCC model estimates, and AGW is not a crisis.

Changes some things (hopefully exposing libs for the false prophets they’ve long been) — but not the need for more energy efficiency. But we need to look at this from a conservative perspective.
For Americans to consider this an impossible contradiction, science education must be worse than I had believed.
It’s very possible to have higher-frequency, higher-amplitude changes in a system that contains a long-term warming trend. The IBD focus on the models is correct—they will require adjustment—but it doesn’t disprove global warming any more than Algore proved its existence.
Much better to go back to the term we used to use, before the MSM jumped onto the "Global Warming" part of it.
