Hillary Said She'd Walk Out On Hate Speech, But Would She?
The Pittsburgh Gazette, American Thinker ^

Posted on 03/26/2008 8:58:08 AM PDT by Cinnamon Girl

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, in a wide-ranging interview today with Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reporters and editors, said she would have left her church if her pastor made the sort of inflammatory remarks Sen. Barack Obama's former pastor made.

"He would not have been my pastor," Clinton said. "You don't choose your family, but you choose what church you want to attend."

(edit)

Clinton said she was "sleep-deprived" and "misspoke" when she said last week that she landed under sniper fire during a trip to Bosnia in 1996, when she was first lady.

The Clinton campaign had refrained from getting involved in the Wright controversy, but Clinton herself, responding to a question this morning, denounced what she said was "hate speech."

"You know, I spoke out against Don Imus (who was fired from his radio and television shows after making racially insensitive remarks), saying that hate speech was unacceptable in any setting, and I believe that," Clinton said. "I just think you have to speak out against that. You certainly have to do that, if not explicitly, then implicitly by getting up and moving."

Hillary claims she'd get up and walk out to show her disapproval of hate speech. But what happened here?:

From American Thinker Blog:

In 1999 Suha Arafat, Yasser Arafat's wife, said, "Our [Palestinian] people have been submitted to the daily and intensive use of poisonous gas by the Israeli forces, which has led to an increase in cancer cases among women and children."

Although Hillary Clinton was sitting on the same stage and receiving a simultaneous translation of Mrs. Arafat's speech, she sat silent.

When the speech was finished the First Lady stood up and walked over to Suha Arafat. Hillary Clinton's response to the accusation that Israel was using poison gas?

A kiss and a hug for Mrs. Arafat.

Did she forget her policy of walking out? Or did she agree with what she was hearing? Her "staff" tried to claim that she didn't know what Suha had said until she read a translation later. If that's the case, does she EVER know what's going on when a speaker has a simultaneous translation? Or, as president, would she sit in meetings with foreign leaders, completely clueless, nodding in approval and kissing everyone, only to respond to what had been said hours later?

We must not forget the time Hillary was at the black church last year and talking... black in order to fit in. She is a hoax and people who vote for her are idiots.

I know there are many amongst us who dislike McCain and loath the idea of voting for him, and who have pledged NOT to vote for him. I’m hoping that we will eventually all come together and vote for the republican candidate.

But one thins is clear, it’s only March and I’m steaming at the idea of Hillary in office as president. I don’t know who is worse, someone who is a bold face liar, or someone who is a charlatan.

Each year the dems put a flaming liberal on the ticket and try to paint him as being of no political affiliation or belief.

This year we have two wolves in sheep’s clothing,
BUT I would think we would unite behind ANYONE before we would allow her to be president.

Did you hear that ANN C?!!!!!!!!

She surely sat and clapped during a visit at some church pushing
black-liberation theology.

I suspect that any visits she made to mosques, the imams were wise
enough to not mention their agenda to kill/enslave "Crusaders" and Jews.

Clinton said. "You don't choose your family, but you choose what church you want to attend."

Well now wait a minute, she chose her husband, and then she chose the father of her daughter.

Ann Coulter jumped the sandwich a while ago. And while the anti-McCain clowns are vocal, there aren’t as many of them as they think. Latest polls show most self described conservatives WILL vote for Johnny.

Let's focus on her other statement for a moment.

Clinton said she was "sleep-deprived" and "misspoke"...

This certainly answers her "3 am phone call" commercial, doesn't it? "Oops, sorry about that incident with all our troops getting killed, but they called at 3 am and I was groggy, so I misspoke."

And speaking of her husband, he gave plenty of speeches castigating Republicans as evil, etc. Sounds hateful to me but she never walked out on him.

I’m sure the hildabeast’s definition of Hate Speech is different then mine, just as her husband’s definition of IS is different then mine.

It is simply outrageous that anyone would not take Hillary at her word. After all she has done, her vast foreign policy and health care experience while she was First Domestic Partner, her critical role as NY State Senator in revitalizing the upstate NY economy, the dignity she provided to the White House while Ken Starr launched his baseless witch hunt against her Domestic Partner, her demonstrated love of animals like Socks the cat, the peace treaties she negotiated in Ireland, the mideast, and elsewhere...

Her accomplishments should speak for themselves, and no one should question her word. Everyone “misspeaks” on occassion.
