When Rev. Jeremiah Wright spoke in Columbus, Ohio, at an annual Martin Luther King Breakfast in 2004, he said, The God of Harriet Tubman is not the God of G.W. Meaning G. W. Bush, of course.
It turns out that people in Columbus were treated to a small sample of Rev. Jeremiah Wrights oratory when he came though town in 2004 to speak at the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Breakfast at the convention center.
In that speech, Barack Obamas controversial pastor criticized President Bush, saying, The God of Harriet Tubman is not the God of G.W, according to a story published in The Columbus Dispatch at the time.
Speaking about King, Wright said Bushs selections of federal judicial nominees was tantamount to spitting on his legacy.
According to the story, Wright, then the pastor at Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, received a standing ovation.

Well, he does say Jesus was black, so maybe he's actually worshiping a different God. Then again, I very much doubt that Harriet Tubman was.

Wright is about as much of a “reverend” as Joseph Stalin, Adolph Hitler, or Mao Tse Tung!

Too bad he doesnt know his history. It was the northern churches that brought the pressure to end slavery. Nothing else to add to that.

Well, Stalin did attend seminary and his mom wished he had become a priest. So that’s kind of close.
And the “G.W.” of which he speaks, I thought he was talking about “Global Warming!”

Speaking about King, Wright said Bushs selections of federal judicial nominees was tantamount to spitting on his legacy. I do believe that the good Dr. King was a registered Republican.

It would indeed be interesting to get the views of Harriet Tubman on today's race relations, particularly after what actual horrors she saw.

A number of years ago leading members of the Black community wanted a sizable reparation to return to the Africa they had been torn from.
Let's ask the "Reverand" how much it would take to get him to return

God Is
We worship Him with
very limited awareness
And great selfishness
Limited Knowledge
Limited Wisdom
Limited Vision
My awareness of God may be very different
from another persons
But that is because I am limited, and so are you
Error is everywhere
To say someone worships a
“Different God” is ludicrous,
unless the worship is directed to a lesser being
(Self / Satan / Idol, etc.)
But certainly that worship can,
and usually is, very screwed up
Mine, Yours, all God's Chill’n

The philosophical underpinnings of Wright's church consist of
ME-ME-ME-ology and
GIMME-ology.
