The ruling on Tuesday upholds the constitutionality of a measure approved by Michigan voters in 2006. Wow--the judges actually believe it is constitutional NOT to grant preferences to people based on the color of their skin! Finally!!!

You can push an amazing amount of conservative principles through when taken directly to the people.

Ending the University of Michigan’s AA policy will do more to “heal” the country than anything Barack Hussein Obama can possibly do or say.
Juan thinks your state’s in play, btw.

That's exactly it. We got concealed carry laws, opposed gay marriage, and affirmative action by way of direct votes by the people.

Good!
Folks should be judged by their character and ability, with no preferential rights for the color of their skin...
Discrimination based on race - is and should remain against the law, for BOTH races.
Even newborn babies, get out of the stroller and walk on their own within a few years.....
How many GENERATIONS are required to level the playing field?

Cool! Government-sponsored institutionalized racism is still just that - racism.
Apparently the people of Michigan prefer that people are judged by the content of their character rather than by the color of their skin. Good on them!

Careful. That democracy thing is a two edged sword. Remember this is FreeREPUBLIC. We are a Constitutional Republic and public referendum is pure, direct democracy.
I know it worked in this case, and in others, but I am leery of it on a philosophical level.

Agreed. What was that quote from that European on democracy? Something to the effect that, “democracy can only survive until the masses figure out they can vote themselves the money from the public treasury”.
