I agree. He's a very nice guy and not at all divisive. He'd make a good Veep for Hillary, now that the news about Obama's association with the disgraced Jeremiah Wright is national news.

Tokenism.
If I was Harold Ford, Jr., I would be pissed.
This is truly pandering racism of the worst order.

Harold “I’m really black even though I look white” Ford Jr.
It won’t do her any good in Tennessee. We already rejected Jr in 2006.

Ever since Hillary lost black support in South Carolina (with quite a bit of help from her husband), I’ve been saying that she would need to pick a black runningmate, and that Harold Ford, Jr. would be the obvious choice. IMHO, Ford would make a far better president than Obama, and he proved his ability to motivate black voters by getting 97% of the black vote (not a typo) while running statewide against a moderate Republican who had served as mayor of a city that is 36% black (and has 6% of the state’s black population); Ford also showed that he could run reasonably well among white conservatives by getting 47% statewide in Tennessee. Ford won’t win any states for Hillary by himself, but he would help her stop the bleeding among black voters (from whom Hillary needs a huge turnout in order to have a chance in MI, PA, OH, FL, VA, AR and MO) and, unlike most prominent black Democrats, would not hurt her candidacy by appearing to be unfit to assume the presidency.

yes...I have always said that if Harry Jr were conservative I’d support him....I like his style.
He is not afraid to be culturally Dixie as a southern somewhat black feller.
But...he’s a danged lib....bigitme.
Hillary can have him.
