WASHINGTON (AP) - An aide says that former Sen. Howard Metzenbaum, an Ohio Democrat, has died. (Nothing more at this time)
90 years old I think.
Inventor of the Metzenbaum Scissors?
No, he just taxed the hell out of us for years and years!

And may (the God he denies us all through his policies and fanacticism) have mercy on his soul, and the souls of the 45 millions of taxpayers his socialism aborted.
I couldn't stand the SOB, or his pain in the ass son-in-law either.
He was a very mean man. Perhaps God can hold him in his hand. Prayers for the family.
Was that Joel Hyatt? I grew up with Howard in office as well. My opinion of him is not much different than yours. He was quite active in Ohio politics and very partisan. After him, we got John Glenn. Not sure which one was worse.
Speeding on his Harley, I suppose ;)
He is the one who told John Glenn (who I don’t like) that he never had a job. Glenn responded saying that 20+ years in the Marines was certainly a job. (one that Metzenbaum the Commie lover would never understand.)
A big pain in the arse. He gave my home state a bloody nose more than once. RIP, but I'm not cryin'.
Biggest anti-gunner. Ever.
Was.
Yes he was.
