Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (R) reiterated Friday that he will not run against Sen. Mark Pryor (D-Ark.).

The filing period began March 3, the day before Huckabee withdrew from the presidential race, and ends Monday.

In an interview with The Hill, Huckabee said he is still “decompressing” from his presidential campaign, and reaffirmed past statements that indicated he had no interest in challenging Pryor or serving in the Senate.

I guess that's that.

I wonder if he thinks he'll be VP.

If I had to choose, I’d much rather have him take out Blanche Lincoln than Pryor.

*cheers* Whoo-hoo, one more nanny stater socialist not heading to Washington. Could care less of his social conservative leanings when his solutions to problems is raise more taxes, and tell the people what to do.

He also knows he would be overwhelmingly defeated by Pryor in a Democrat year in a Democrat state, and that would sink what foolish hopes he still has for higher office.

Not only is Huckabee afraid of Pryor: so is the entire AR GOP.

If Huckabee has interest in going to the Senate. He could just as well run against Blanche Lincoln in 2010, if McCain wins. If McCain loses, he’ll be preping for 2012.

Given how positive Huck kept his campaign (while apparently Ed Rollins was chomping at the bit to go negative)it wouldn’t be surprising if McCain would help him with whatever he wants..except VP.
