Just one year ago, Megan Wallent's co-workers at Microsoft knew her as Michael. Then, in an e-mail sent to his entire staff, he announced that he no longer considered himself a male.
The long-time executive, in charge of the Internet Explorer division for Microsoft, underwent major feminization surgery and legally changed his gender. Wallent's wife, like his co-workers, had no idea that this guy's guy was conflicted about his gender identity. ABC's Neal Karlinksy has the story from Seattle. Read more here and view a slideshow of the transition from Michael to Megan.
Pity his wife and child.
Shame.
With Microsoft money, anything's possible, I suppose.
Silly ... woman trapped in a man’s body. The transformation was not convincing.
Thanks for calling him “he.” I get tired of the news stories about these people insisting on using “she” and “her.”
He wanted to be a girl, but they turned him into Steve Perry.
I would have told him. “If you really want to cut off your nuts and go around in heels and makeup, that’s your business but don’t get married and make a baby!”
Didn't Rush Limbaugh once claim that he was a lesbian trapped in a man's body?
This person is mentally ill and surgically removing a healthy body part via lopadicophamy or mutilating the same organ by addidictomy will not cure his illness.
GUILTY !!!!
Bailiff ... whack his pee-pee.
I know a couple who are going through this right now. They are grandparents and he is undergoing reassignment surgery.
It turns out that he has had these feelings all his life and actually told his wife before they got engaged.
She says she thought she could change him. She was wrong.
I wonder how many women have married men knowing this sort of thing?
The whole thing may not be as cut and dried as it may seem at first glance, but is still very odd.
Could this be why Explorer freezes up up so often? No pun intended of course.
I have to ask - which counselor talked this man into this transformation? And why was he encouraged to share his decision with NO ONE in his life until he had already committed to change his gender? And is there money involved in this process?
This seems to be the most common method for these counselors to take - find a suggestible person, isolate their decision making process from their families and friends, then encourage them to commit to expensive, lifelong medical procedures (paid for by insurance) without input from anybody but those who would profit from such a decision. Considering this process, I would look into the possibility of profits - not ideology - driving this explosion of “gender confusion”.
I wonder how many of these men and women would have ever considered changing their gender without constant pressure from over-zealous “gender identity counselors”?
He’ll have to learn not to hang up his sweaters on wire hangers.
Suppose he/she had one of those chopadicktomy surgeries. Did they mark it with a black magic marker, “Cut here”

If what I just wrote made you sad or angry,
it was probably just a joke.
I guess that explains why IE is so confused and .............
All my life I have felt like a palm tree. I long for the sun and the beach and enjoy the ocean breeze.
Alas I will have to suffer in this human body until science permits me to grow bark and sprout leaves.
