(CNN) As Hillary Clinton battles to keep her presidential bid alive, she may be getting help from an unlikely source: conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh.
Limbaugh has been actively urging his Texas listeners to cross over and vote for Clinton in that state's open primary Tuesday, arguing it helps the Republicans if the Democratic race remains unsettled for weeks to come.
"I want Hillary to stay in this this is too good a soap opera," Limbaugh told fellow conservative talk-show host Laura Ingraham on Fox News Friday. He reiterated the comments on his Monday show and replayed the exchange with Ingram.
He also said Clinton is more willing than the Republican National Committee and John McCain's campaign to criticize Barack Obama.
"We need Barack Obama bloodied up politically. It's obvious that the Republicans are not going to do it, they don't have the stomach for it," Limbaugh continued. "As you probably know we're getting all kinds of memos from the RNC saying we're not going to be critical. Mark McKinnon of McCain's campaign said he'll quit if they get critical over Obama. This is the presidency of the United States we're talking about. I want our party to win I want the Democrats to lose.

Well done.
I’m voting for Romney! There’s no way I’d vote for either of the candidates in the ‘RAT primary even if its only a primary. I’ve never voted in a ‘RAT primary, and I’m not going to start doing that today.
I personally don’t think it is right or proper to vote in the other party’s primary. Vote for the candidate you most want to vote for in November.
Everyone here would be outraged if the Republicans were in a tight race and Democrats jumped on to derail the race. It is just unethical.
And be careful what you wish for. Hillary is by no means done.
What I am saying is this: you are playing with fire here by getting involved.
You're really smoking something if you think a nasty old hag, that 46% of the country despises, is going to be harder to beat than the rock star that has all the kiddies swooning and a media declaring all criticism of him racist.
::::rolls eyes::::
McCain won A LOT a votes, period. He won fair and square among Republican voters, and more conservative independents who want a new direction for the party.
It wasn’t crossover votes that did this. The democrats were much more interested in their own races. Independants did come in to vote for McCain, but many of them will be with him through November.
And doesn't everything point to the week knee scenario. McCain behaves like Obama's campaign manager, jumping in to defend him against any criticism that might be effectively persuade people how unfit for the job he is.
Exactly!
I am doing what I always do..voting in the republican primaries! We have alot of state races and ballot issues that are important to vote on.
If Hillary wins TX today, the Rats will blame and wonder if Rush swung the election.
It will be funny to watch the talking heads talk this one.
Rush cost us the House and Senate in 2006 and he’s going to cost us the WH in 2008.
There’s no excuse for what Rush is doing. He’s so wrong about this splitting the Dimm party that it’s painful to listen to him. Clinton wins tonight, she’ll sue for the FL and MI delegates and Obama will be gone in a week.
And Rush will have to face his second mistake: Hillary will not be easier to beat.
Rush has become an unbearable fool. I wish he’d just shut up—but since that’s not going to happen I’ve simply stopped listening to him.
You should be embarrassed. As much as we like to laugh at those afflicted with BDR, you are worse. At least he is president. What is your excuse for assigning super-human powers after her performance in the nomination process? How you can assign some sort of super human capabilities to that brittle old hag, who has shown herself to be one of the worst campaigners in presidential history is beyond me. She had the whole thing in the bag just a few short months ago, remember? Bubba was done eight years ago, and she isn't him. Even he isn't him anymore, as his "Jesse Jackson also did well in NC" remark proved". She is very weak, as her ability to blow what everybody assumed was hers proves. Get a grip.
Huh? Can you elaborate a bit on that assertion?
Good Lord, what “rationale”. I don’t “get” him anymore.
Spot on!
Catholics, like myself, need to really think before considering pulling the lever for either pro-abortion candidate. No matter the intent, it is my belief that you are putting your soul in mortal danger with a vote for Obama or Clinton.
I finally decided that I am casting my vote today for Huckabee. I don't like Huck the Nanny-Statist, but I absolutely cannot vote for McCain.
Besides, after all of our griping about open primaries, it seems hypocritical to become Democrats for a day.
I enjoy listening to Rush, as he is entertaining. However, I no longer look to him on issues of morality and virtue. It's kind of tough to be considered a paragon of virtue when you've been married and divorced three times.
The combination of pain-killers and Viagra has really messed with his judgment.
It does bring up a very interesting question as to why the democrats aren’t being asked to vote on local enforcement of illegal immigration and id for voting... hmmmmm guess it would tick off too many of their voters. Guess they don’t want public input on raising peoples taxes without a vote either....
I voted Republican ticket as well.
We need to recognize that Rush is nothing more than a demigod whose every prediction about the Clintons since they appeared on the national scene has been wrong and who has not offered one political strategy that has worked—for us.
“If Rush thinks that the Dems will tear themselves apart at their convention, he’s delusional. This is NOT an excuse for voting for Hillary in cross-over primaries.
Those who are well-versed and old enough to remember the history of the Democrat Party know that despite deep-rooted differences among themselves, they’ll unite behind a candidate and march in lockstop at the convention after a couple of ballots for show. The rank and file Dems will also unite during the general election campaign period as the leaders of various factions in the country get bought off with promises and other bribes.
There may be mayhem in the streets outside the convention hall, but inside there will be enforced discipline and eventual unity. There’ll be massive infighting behind the scenes, but the face that will be shown to the TV-viewing world will NOT be chaotic. Dems DO NOT TOLERATE disunity and independent maverick-ism to deter them from snaring the brass ring.
Hillary must be staked through the heart NOW. Contrary to what many folks think, the delegates are NOT the loony, frothing radicals that are making all the noise and headlines this past year. Mostly teachers, unionites, feminazis, little old ladies with funny hats and party hacks....plus one testosterone-challenged college nerd.
These, plus the superdelegates, are mostly old-line and will go for Hillary provided she’s still alive by then. And she’s planning on being alive then. She should be disabused of that notion ASAP.
If Rush thinks there will be a chaotic atomic upheaval on the floor of the Democrap convention and therefore crossovers should vote for Hillary, it’s a false premise and only serves to confuse GOP voters and his listeners.”
I agree! The time to get rid of Hillary is NOW!
·And no one should be voting for `corruption personified'!·
GOP Conservatives, there is conservative work to be done in the Republican Primary!
McCain does NOT need final approval today, or this spring. If McCain is so good, he can wait until the convention this summer. Either he will age like fine wine, and everyone will embrace him at the convention with confidence. Or he will come apart and fizzle between now and then. Let's see which it is, before he gets the nomination.
(Not as a nominee) Let's give Candidate John McCain SIX FULL MONTHS to truly disappoint conservatives (~one~ more time / ~one~ for the road!). In the heat of the summer, you don't want a convention arena full of GOP delegates suffering from buyer's remorse.
People will vote for who they want, but is McCain really the best one, and will he ~fly~ in November?
He does NOT yet have the necessary delegate count that he needs to clinch the nomination. There is still time to derail this disaster already waiting to happen.

(Watch Sean, Rush, Laura, Mark, Michelle et.al. rationalize 1 by 1 & enter the RINO/McCain column)
Make your vote count....VOTE HUCKABEE!.......derail McCain!
It's conservative delegate Time. (In the worst GOP primary election year ever)
Decide for the best nominee at the Convention!
FYI => GOP Primary: Muckster vs Huckster | Confirm Duncan Hunter on Ballot in Texas, RI. Fred OH. Huck VT
That lesson should have been learned by Republican strategists during the elections of 11/2006. We have grown so tired of RINOs that we no longer fear the levers of power being controlled by liberals for a few years.
There are two things that keep my soul comforted in the expectations of a Democrat in the White House come 1/2009:
1. The Constitution of the United States
2. Our military has far more combat experience than any other country's, and our weaponry is much more lethal than theirs.
