Fire Ignites 'Street of Dreams' Home Development; ELF Sign Left at Scene and Explosives Found

WOODINVILLE, Wash. —

Explosive devices were found inside luxury houses set ablaze Monday morning outside of Seattle, and police suspected that a well-known eco-terrorism group ignited the fires.

The multi-million-dollar development known as "Street of Dreams" in Woodinville, Wash., burst into flames in the early morning hours, and Snohomish County crews fought to contain the blaze.

The Earth Liberation Front, known for violent acts in the name of environmentalism, left a sign at the scene and was suspected to have set fire to the swanky, newly built neighborhood.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation released a statement saying that the FBI, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) and local authorities were on-scene of the possible arson.

These people should be noted as terrorists. They’re almost as bad as the islamofascists. They serve the same god—satan.

Homes were “newly built”, no word on if any had been sold, real estate market is depressed — I would also look at developer

Don’t fires cause air pollution? If this group really cared for the environment ...

...I would also look at developer

Each house of a "Street of Dreams" is generally an independently-financed and built project.

There's no "developer", per se ... more of an "organizer".

They are terrorists. That’s why their web-site was taken down.
They also burned some homes that were under construction that had workers sleeping in them.

Eco-terrorism in Seattle = Cost of doing business

I doubt ELF would have left a stupid sign so I doubt they did it but probably deserve to be punished for something else they did.

It’s probably a homebuyer who but down the cash and now can’t afford the home they bought. Maybe an MS employee who worked on Vista.

I also bet the perps will eventually get caught - they usually do in these arson things. Evidence is just too plentiful and people talk.

I doubt ELF would have left a stupid sign...

I think they've done it before ... at an arson of a large under-construction apartment complex in the San Diego area about 10 or 15 years ago.

“I doubt ELF would have left a stupid sign”
“I also bet the perps will eventually get caught”

You might want to do some research on elf/alf. They almost always leave a calling card. They want everyone to know when they pull these stunts. And I would not bet on anyone getting caught. These nut jobs are very smart and they have learned a lot for Al-Qaeda. They have loose knit cells and practice very good operational security.

These people need jobs. They’ve got too much time on their hands. Hopefully they will spend the next 50 years of that time doing time!

It’s probably a homebuyer who but down the cash and now can’t afford the home they bought.

My understanding is that they were "model" homes for showing. Wouldn't have been sold until on down the line. Also, these groups leave signs all the time. They are proud of what they do.

You might want to do some research on elf/alf.

I just did some browsing and I have to say you're right.

The level of eco-terror being what it is, seems like it's high time mere membership in ELF is enough to consign their asses to a Gitmo type prison for ever.

Maybe a nice place like the Meadowlands where they can appreciate the beauty of development.

These were house designed to show off the latest in amenities, and the different builders skills. Each home was built by a different developer. People payed to tour the homes, and all funds received were donated to charity. Makes abdo-lutely no sense for the builders to torch there model homes.

“Each home was built by a different developer. “

Sorry, but you are naive. A single builder could torch several homes in the subdivision in order to cover up his own dirty deed. You can bet that everyone with a financial stake in that subdivision is going to be investigated.

They almost always leave a calling card. They want everyone to know when they pull these stunts.

Well, they generally don't leave a calling card at destructive acts of terrorism.

And, they only take credit when it appears that nobody died, so as not to admit to homicide.

Such upstanding people.

..these ELF types are perpetually indignant...they are envious of people who have worked hard and have something to show for it....if you drive a nice pick up like me you’re polluting the atmosphere....if you have shares of Chevron like me you’re a capitalist pig....if you like a thick steak like me you’re cruel to animals....their holier-than-thou attitude is a form of reverse snobbery...and it’s because they’ve achieved little with the opportunities they’ve been given.

I’m sure they will be looked at, but the area where this happened is very upscale and has actually gone up in value while the rest of the nation has gone down.
