I thought everyone knew that Texas District Attorneys are non-partisan. Just ask Ronnie Earle.

He was an Assistant Prosecutor in Rockwall County.

Here is a link to the county’s election results in 2004.

http://elections.sos.state.tx.us/elchist.exe

George W. Bush/ Dick Cheney(I) 61.08%
John F. Kerry/ John Edwards 38.22%

Chances are that he was a Republican as it would be tough for a Liberal Democrat to be hired as a Prosecutor is a strong GOP county.

"What political party did he belong to?"

According to this online website, he was a Democrat:

http://www.bannerofliberty.com/BOL-06MQC/11-8-2006.1.html

There's a couple of paragraphs about 3/4's down.

In 2004, he donated money to Kerry:

Conradt, Louis Jr (Self employed/Attorney), (Zip code: 75160) $250 to JOHN KERRY FOR PRESIDENT INC on 06/30/04

And in 2003 he gave money to Clark:

Conradt, Louis W Jr (Louis W. Conradt Jr./Attorney), (Zip code: 75160) $250 to CLARK FOR PRESIDENT INC on 09/21/03
