Chances are that he was a Republican as it would be tough for a Liberal Democrat to be hired as a Prosecutor is a strong GOP county.
Sheila Jackson Lee and other Democrats are in Harris County/Houston which voted for Bush even though we’ve only had Democrat mayors.
Individual races can go differently. Hard to determine the makeup of a voting block based on a candidate.
I hadn’t voted for Chuck Rosenthal in years. He got hounded out of office in scandal. The Democrat challenger has also faced corruption scandal before but has name recognition, so maybe there will be a Republican DA (there are several in the running in the primary) and maybe there won’t.
