A Florence Unified School District kindergarten teacher remained on the job for six months after she was arrested on suspicion of having sex with a 16-year-old, resigning only after the state notified the district, officials said. The time lag between teacher Angela Csader's arrest and the district's being notified has raised concerns from district officials and parents.
"I wish to express not only our distress but our commitment to ensuring the safety ... of your children," district Superintendent Gary Nine wrote in a letter to parents.
Csader, a 25-year-old Queen Creek resident, was arrested in July on charges she had sex with a Gilbert boy who fathered her child. The youth apparently had not been a student of Csader's.
Charged with three counts of sexual conduct with a minor, she's been on supervised release and continued to go to her job at Anthem Elementary School in the Florence district until late January, when the Arizona Department of Education notified the district.
Nine wrote in a Feb. 1 letter to parents of Anthem students: "I was informed at approximately 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 30, that there was a possibility that an Anthem kindergarten teacher was in 'trouble' with the law. We were able to determine that a criminal complaint had been filed in Maricopa County Superior Court against the teacher alleging 'sexual conduct with a minor.' To the best of our knowledge, this is not a matter involving any FUSD students. By 3 p.m. Thursday, the teacher had resigned. The teacher has been reported to the Arizona Department of Education and is no longer employed by FUSD."

According to police reports and court records, Csader was hired by a Gilbert couple to help teach their 8-year-old in their home. She's accused of starting a sexual relationship with the 16-year-old beginning in August 2006.
Csader's next court date is set Feb. 26. She also faces a family court dispute with the victim, who filed for full custody of their daughter in December.

What’s with all these student teacher sexual cases? Where did this come from? Is it because the young teachers have grown up in a sexual culture where anything is ok, any type of activity, any number of partners, any gender of partners, no judgements of any kind? Just wondering.
Some people say this phenomenon has always been around, but in decades past we lacked the sort of media coverage we have now. I couldn’t say, myself.

It just seems like these teachers, many of whom are young women, have no moral judgement, or judgement in general, about inappropriate relationships with students. And I thought too, maybe it’s partly that the current generation of teachers grew up with the sexual revolution, so in their minds, it’s ok to have sex with anybody at any time.
