Fort Dix case causes collateral damage
The Philadelphia Inquirer ^ | 2/17/08 | Geoff Mulvihill

Posted on 02/18/2008 9:08:28 AM PST by Scarpetta

The government never accused Muslim Tatar, a 55-year-old pizza shop owner, of doing anything illegal. But Tatar says his life fell apart after his son was among six men charged last May in connection with a plot to attack Fort Dix.

He sees his son, who he says is innocent, only through the glass wall at a federal detention center. He has been called a terrorist - and worse. He has health problems. He lost his pizza shop and struggled to find another job as a part-time cook.

"My mortgage is behind," he said. "Everything's a big problem. My family life all collapsed."

Tatar's plight illustrates a sad truth about the way the world works: Those accused of crimes get their day in court for a jury to decide whether there's proof beyond a reasonable doubt. The U.S. Constitution, however, offers no protection for how the public might react and treat their families.

Tatar believes his son is innocent (he is in the eyes of Allah). Move back to Turkey, you turkey.

The facts are that Mr. Tatar is an alien non-citizen, he is suffering from illness that may make him a burden on the taxpayers, he isn’t working fulltime and he has close association with known terrorists (his son).

What’s the problem with deportation considering all of the circumstances?

Somehow, you didn’t raise your kid to be a law abiding american. If you loose everything defending him..at least you live in a country that will try him and allow you to start again.
He could also be in a Turkish jail..

AWWWW. This just breaks my heart. Poor little terrorists. It’s not fair when the police catch them before they blow anything up!

These people need to learn the meaning of the word “consequences”—why did they allow their kids to be terrorists?? There should have been interventions, but from what I understand, a lot of these families are quite proud and encouraging when their kids take this terroristic path in life—yeah, the consequences are unpleasant, and no excuses for physically hurting family members like the 12 y/o sister of one of the men. Just another liberal ‘boo hoo’ story blaming the good guys for the behavior/consequences of the bad guys. Should have a “Barf Alert” warning!

I feel no sorrow for the man. His son, whom he raised and never taught that Terrorism was wrong, is a terrorist.

We would NEVER frequent the shop of someone whose family member is a terrorist. In fact we would NEVER frequent a shop owned by a Muslim.

I of course realize that the above statement would be considered ‘Politically Incorrect’. Such is life when you live in a country whose Constitution says they have the freedom of “Free Speech’.

Since the article, which goes out of it’s way to be sympathetic to the guy, doesn’t say he’s a citizenn it’s a safe bet he’s not. I say deport the whole damned bunch of them.

Tatar Tot is in a federal detention center for traitorous activities inspired by his blood-thirsty Islamic faith. This is the universe sending Papa Tatar a message. Those who hate and despise Western culture, and seek to destroy it, should not be allowed to live in the West. See my tagline.
