This is directed to Alessandra Soler Meetze, executive director of the ACLU Arizona, pertaining to her recent letter to the Herald, subject: “ACLU protects American values, civil liberties.” Concerning the imaginary virtues of that organization, her prognostications are derived from their Web site, which carefully orchestrates both its past and defined benevolences. Yes, the ACLU on rare occasions picks and chooses what and whom to defend that are diametrically opposed to the philosophies of that organization just to give itself an air of legitimacy.
The fact is the ACLU was founded by Roger Baldwin, a devout Marxist, which was determined to turn us away from our Christian heritage and constitutional government to one “that embraces socialism/communism.”
The following are some of Baldwin’s many pronouncements regarding the course that should be taken in undermining the American way of life:
“I am for socialism, disarmament, and ultimately for abolishing the state itself as an instrument of violence and compulsion. I seek the social ownership of property, the abolition of the propertied class, and sole control of those who produce wealth. Communism is the goal.” — Roger Baldwin, quoted in the National Federation for Decency Journal, September 1988, Page 9.
“Do steer away from making it look like a Socialist enterprise … We want also to look like patriots in everything we do. We want to get a good lot of flags, talk a good deal about the Constitution and what our forefathers wanted to make of this country, and to show that we are really the folks that really stand for the spirit of our institutions.” — Baldwin’s advice in 1917 to Louis Lochner of the socialist People’s Council in Minnesota.
Furthermore, in the past, both this government (on “UN-American Activities”) and the California legislature on “UN-American Activities,” have deemed the ACLU a communist front organization.
If you’re going to do serious research, obtain it from a variety of sources, not one that regurgitates her pap on their favorite Web site. Over the years they have done a good job of attempting to erase those “proverbial” spots from that leopard.

The Dhimmicrats are siding with the trial lawyers in the FISA bill.
The only reason it isn’t getting through is that the Dhims want to pay off their trial lawyer base by making the telecoms vulnerable to lawsuits.
