The question was one she had heard before, but this time it was asked in downright hostile terms.

“Has your mother shown any remorse for the fact that her vote cost Iraqis a million of their lives?” a student asked Chelsea Clinton on Monday at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Ms. Clinton replied: “She cast a vote based on the best available evidence. Perhaps you had clairvoyance then, and that’s extraordinary.”

On balance when you consider the millions of people Saddam mass murdered and killed in wars he started, the Iraqis got a good deal. Especially with Saddam’s brutal sons poised to take power next.

I was going to say that. It's one of the talking points that suddenly became fact after being repeated enough times. John McCain should be ready for that question and have some facts handy. From what I recall Saddam killed more muslims than anyone else.
