McCain-Soros: A false trail

McCain-Soros: A false trail

The Internet and cable TV have been rife with allegations that George Soros funds John McCain. One of the sources for this claim is a book I co-authored last year called The Shadow Party: How George Soros, Hillary Clinton and Sixties Radicals Seized Control of the Democratic Party.

What we reported was that Soros made a contribution to McCain's political organization when McCain was devising the McCain-Feingold bill. If you oppose that bill as I did and do, that's the end of the story.

Soros is an anti-American radical, who thinks George Bush is responsible for the war on terror and that Israel is the aggressor and genocidal armies like Hamas the victims. On these critical issues of our time, John McCain has absolutely nothing in common with George Soros. For Soros "American supremacy" is the greatest threat for world peace. For McCain, American military supremacy is the greatest guarantor of world peace. That's quite a difference.

Here's an ensuing comment below the above article (on the same web page ) :

No, it is not the end of the story. It does not matter if McCain actually took Soros money or not, he DID the work of Soros. He helped empower the billionaire and others like him at the expense of those he was supposed to be protecting.

The fact that McCain and Soros are IDENTICAL when it comes to other people's free speech IS STILL IMPORTANT. Even though you don't mind one bit, because it increased your power, also, didn't it?

You don't mind sacrificing my rights to McCain and Soros, it didn't cost you anything, and in fact, as a member of the "press" you can express your opinion right up to the election, for what it is worth.

We can trust McCain to take it to the Jihadists.....once he brings them home and tries them in front of the OJ jury? Making sure that they are never uncomfortable for one second? Comparing our soldiers who guard them with the sadistic communists who held him captive the whole time?

I feel so much safer.

This is the rest of the article. The other part you posted was a comment left by a reader.

All well and good, as far as it goes. Nevertheless, it’s true that McCain did the work of George Soros and helped prepare the way for him and his organizations to play a controlling role in our elections.

And it’s also true that Soros recognized that, and contributed money in support of the McCain-Feingold Bill.

That’s all anyone has said that I’ve seen. And it’s true.

The RNC or McCain must be making it hot for David Horowitz, who did nothing but report the truth. So, McCain, lay off him. You brought this on YOURSELF by your own actions.

"The fact that McCain and Soros are IDENTICAL when it comes to other people's free speech [McCain-Feingold] IS STILL IMPORTANT."

You mean the legislation that Fred Thompson supported and Bush signed? Yeah well, a lot of Republicans made a big mistake -- they were all "indentical" to Soros on the issue of CFR.

The Republicans who voted for CFR probably ought to commit seppuku. They have destroyed their reputations forever.

Frankly, I'm not going to let the FEC bother me ~ and am willing to violate any or all of the elements of the CFR on behalf of any candidate at any time. You need a test case call me. Pukes like "W", McCain, etc. et al don't scare me. Their womenfolk know what they're really like.

I wonder if Horowitz ever uses Google.

Through The Weeds; John McCain, George Soros and the Reform Institute

Just use any combination of "John McCain, George Soros, think tank, funding, campaign finance" in the google search bar.

I said so last night on the FR thread - dispiriting to see how many freepers swallowed the story hook, line and sinker.

Where have the independent thinkers gone?

Too many people follow the bell wether sheep and lately, it seems, FR's bell wether sheep runs off in the wrong direction....

THINK, before you swallow!

"Soros has been openly hosting fund raisers for Osama Obama !"

So What? McCain has been carrying water for Soros as has Hillary and Obama. Do you really think Soros cares which one of the three wins? All of them are carrying out his agenda of open borders and the rest of the elite agenda to bring this country to its knees. All are "useful idiots" or true believers. Take your pick.

Big money often gives to both sides. In some cases the opposite sides aren’t that opposite.

Whew! Only one contribution from George Soros! I feel so much better! NOT!

Now, Mr. Horowitz, could you explain those contributions from by the Tides Foundation? How about the Proteus Fund? What about Max Palevsky?

And what about the actual objectives of his Institute—used to manipulate public opinion to sell his pet issues and make them appear to have popular support (and make money for his pals at the same time)? Shamnesty, Open Primaries, Climate Change... etc.

And what about the people his institute places at the helm? Mr. Juan (open borders) Hernandez, Robert (uh-oh, my buddies got convicted) Kelly, or Cecilia (”Clean Elections” MALDEF) Martinez?

I love ya David, but you can’t put lipstick on this pig!
