...the buckles instead were placed centrally over each breast. The traditional interpretation is that the buckles fell down to the waist after the body decomposed, but that is a prudish reconstruction,...It was actually in their mid 40s.

Maybe it’s just me but the worst looking Dallas Cowgirl is better looking than any of these gals. Even the Oakland Raiderettes beat these. IMHO

Letsee...vikings are from scandinavia. It’s cold up there in the nordic frozen forests. I’d say it’s a pretty safe bet the viking women did NOT dress too provocatively.

Huh. So how does a 6-foot blonde-braided Viking woman who can juggle battleaxes dress? Any way she wants to.
To: mamelukesabre
You’re not supposed to notice that. No, you’re supposed to keep to the party line that those prudish victorians were wrong, just wrong. You’re not supposed to use your reason. That is only for us experts, silly! /S

I looked and looked, but don’t see any buckles.
To: driftdiver
The article says they are on the breasts. Look at the breasts very closely for a very long time. Maybe then you might see something.
