I loved the part where he talked about having a president that had trouble dealing with a little bit of stress.
I just couldn’t figure out WHO he was talking about.
The first thing that came to mind for me was McCain’s FU remarks.
Hillary’s tears came in a second later.
If he was so helpful why couldn’t he pull some of his ‘friends’ over to get a confirmation?
I’m reading the Clarence Thomas book “My Grandfathers Son” and I was reading that when Thomas got out of Law School and got his first job he & his wife were living in an apartment and Thomas lost his wallet. Fortunuately for Thomas another person in the apartment found it and returned it to Thomas. That person was none other than John Bolton.

Bush announced his intention to renominate Bolton for confirmation as U.N. ambassador at the beginning of 2006, and a new confirmation hearing was held on July 27, 2006, in the hope of completing the process before the expiration of Bolton's recess appointment at the end of the 109th Congress.[65] Voinovich, who had previously stood in opposition to Bolton, had amended his views and determined that Bolton was doing a "good job" as UN Ambassador; in February 2006, he said "I spend a lot of time with John on the phone. I think he is really working very constructively to move forward."[66]
Over the summer and during the fall election campaign, no action was taken on the nomination because Chafee, who was in a difficult re-election campaign, blocked a Senate Foreign Relations Committee vote. Without his concurrence, the SFRC would be deadlocked 9-9, and the nomination could not go to the Senate floor for a full vote. Bush formally resubmitted the nomination on November 9, 2006, immediately following a midterm election that would give control of the 110th Congress to the Democratic party.[67] Chafee, who had just lost his re-election bid, issued a statement saying he would vote against recommending Bolton for a Senate vote, citing what he considered to be a mandate from the recent election results: "On Tuesday, the American people sent a clear message of dissatisfaction with the foreign policy approach of the Bush administration. To confirm Mr. Bolton to the position of U.N. ambassador would fly in the face of the clear consensus of the country that a new direction is called for."[68]
On December 4, 2006, Bolton announced that he would terminate his work as U.S. Representative to the UN at the end of the recess appointment and would not continue to seek confirmation.[69] His letter of resignation from the Bush administration was accepted on December 4, 2006, effective when his recess appointment ended December 9 at the formal adjournment of the 109th Congress.

basically, the "i know he's not really a conservative, but he's all we got" argument.
mccain is emotionally unstable and is weak in a number of other areas, but i guess he's better than the alternatives.
if i am compromising, so be it. we're talking about America here, not my own personal wishes. i will reluctantly vote for mccain unless there is a miracle. but he won't win my state anyway (ny).

It’s disappointing that Ambassador Bolton doesn’t get it. Voting against McCain is not intended to make the country worse—it’s intended to demonstrate that candidates can’t make the country worse and just take the conservative vote for granted.

May not be intended that way, but it could very well turn out that way.

The country will get worse either way.
Vote for McCain for permanent slide to the left...
or vote against liberalism regardless of party, for some rough times with hope for the future.

May get a little worse under McCain, but not as bad as under Hitlery or Obama. He’s backed every conservative judge’s nomination on the Supreme Court. You won’t get that from the dems. And we’re looking at several replacements coming up. If all he does in 4 yrs is continue to fight the islamists and keep us safe, and appoint a conservative judge or 2, that’s will be a tremendous difference over what we’d get under the dems.
