We're taking a step back from our focus on presidential race coverage to bring this piece of news: For the first time ever, Al Franken is ahead of Sen. Norm Coleman (R-MN) in an opinion poll.
The survey conducted by the University of Minnesota puts Franken at 43% to Coleman's 40%, hardly a good sign for the incumbent. Previous polls all gave Coleman the lead, initially a wide one when Franken declared, but eventually a much narrower one.

With a better than 40% chance of the Dems capturing 60 Senate seats, who still wants to sit-out the election if McCain is the Repub nominee to “teach the Repubs a lesson”?

And was it likely voters, just adults or what?

BS, same poll had Mondale beating Coleman by 5 points the day before the election in 2002. Coleman won by 5.
People simply got to stop mindlessly worshiping polling data. 9 months ago the only guy who could be Hillary in every poll was Rudy G. Where is he now?

Apparently, they love “smearmongers” in Minnesota.

WTH? Has McCain become the new “illegal immigration”? Used to be, everything got blamed on the latter, now everything gets blamed on McCain!
What praytell is the logic behind your assertion?

To hold onto the party it is essential to support the down-ticket candidates. Coleman isn’t perfect but given our choices here in Minnesota he is the best we can get. He is strong on WOT, against tge Law of the Sea Treaty, and pro-tex cuts, so I am supporting him all the way. Coleman can pull this out.

This is the result of the Republican party embracing a pro-amnesty, pro-Global Warming, pro-Speech Control, anti-tax-cut, megalomaniacal Senator.

So my choices are death or death by bunga-bunga if you know the old joke.
How about we pull a John Galt or start our own party?
I am concerned about 60 in the Senate, but then again the road they take us down will have other consequences, I'll leave it you you to figure it out....
