That is why it is VERY IMPORTANT to vote in November. Your post said it best.

I though you might get a kick out of this:

I turned over to MSNBC/DNC and saw Chris Matthews ask Adam Putman the following question:

“Was it a McCain speech or a Romney speech” (and then he babbled a bunch of nonesense about what was said and tried to make a conclusion that Bush was using the SOTU as a silent endorsement of a candidate). Poor Adam, he stood there with this look on his face that said “what the hell kind of question was that”, and then proceeded to address the child Chris is a very adult manner, not the least of was the comment that the premise of his question is absurd.

Then I saw Olberman, and I switched the station, Olberidiot is so filled with hatred he has gone insane (was he ever not?).

I didn't visit this thread last night, I wanted to just sit and enjoy President Bush's last SOTU speech. I did. It was good not spectacular and it was great to see him so lively and smiling. He has gone through a lot these past 7 years. It is a tough job. God bless him.
Do people really think McCain or Obama or Hillary is up to it?? I don't. Romney is still my choice, and has been from the beginning. I did get a chuckle out of seeing Kennedy's buttboy Obama, or was that Obama's buttboy Kennedy?? Teddy probably thinks he owns him now.

You hit that on the head.

The Demoniacs ARE evil. Through and through.

God save us from their seizure of power - not just in the Presidency but in every state and local government where their “reign in power” is destroying us, city by city, state by state.

I didn’t see that interchange -——

Yes Olberman is so deranged I cannot tolerate one second of his hate filled face.

Actually same with Chrissy Matthews.

Same with all of them.

TV is off most of the time - I do not have to listen to or watch their ugliness.

Amen and Amen!

I am sure President Bush is looking forward to being able to go home to his ranch. Yet, I pray that somehow his service to this nation is not over at the end of this term.

And we must continue to pray for his safety and for God’s wisdom and strength to be given to him. And for the safety of his daughters and his wife and for VP Cheney. God bless them all.

Good examples of words pronounced locally. There are books written about the weird pronunciation of my (and Barbara Mikulski and Nancy Pelosi’s) home town, called Baltimorese. But some people like to bash Bush and will use anything to do so.

Thank God we didn’t have a Pres. Gore or Kerry in the past 8 years - think about every time you think about criticizing this man

Yes...yes, much better than Gore or Kerry...

...But socialist FDR did so much more after 12/07/41. Bush had his chance to close borders, deport or put in camps Alien Muslims and take out the Muslim centers that bred the hijackers. He could have and should have gotten drilling in ANWR, the Gulf and had refineries built. His whole compassionate conservatism thing was just so much moderate liberal pap. His Globalist strategy is un-conservative and like his father he gave in way too much.

Jumping in late here but we took our kid out of public school where it was all about test prep and put her into a private school. Her math, spelling and reading improved and she does extra activities because she wants to now. Imagine that? Before it was drill, drill, and drill some more.

Schools want their numbers and that’s what they will focus on.

Right. I will celebrate his massive social spending and his do nothing attitude about the borders. He spent more than Kerry or anyone else ever would have. He did exactly what Kerry or any dimocrat would have done about the borders, nothing. Yup, I celebrate all of that. Yipppiiieeee.

I vote the Republic of Texas deny George Bush reentry into this great state.

GWB and his daddy were born and raised in the northeast and have a northeastern liberal mentality that does not mate well with Texas.

George Bush, I know many Texans....you sir, are no Texan.

Utter hyperbole !

Yeah, whatever, Sparky.

I'm married to a teacher, I know what's going on in the schools with NCLB. It's also addressed quite accurately by any CONSERVATIVE analyist. I suggest you start reading Jerry Pournelle's material for a good grounding in it. (In case you're curious, Pournelle is the guy who wrote the "Star Wars" material for Reagan. You might say he was the father of "the end of the cold war.")

PS: It’s kinda sad to see an (ahem) “conservative” get so worked up as he defends TEDDY KENNEDY’S “education” law.
