Liberals Hating on Hillary: 'Loathing Seems a Lot Less Irrational'
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 01/26/2008 3:09:34 PM PST by governsleastgovernsbest

On the east and west coasts today, two liberal columnists unleashed a torrent of vitriol at Hillary and Bill Clinton. At the Los Angeles Times, contributing editor Jonathan Chait asked Is the right right on the Clintons? Consider these blistering excerpts [emphasis added]:

* Something strange happened the other day. All these different people -- friends, co-workers, relatives, people on a liberal e-mail list I read -- kept saying the same thing: They've suddenly developed a disdain for Bill and Hillary Clinton. Maybe this is just a coincidence, but I think we've reached an irrevocable turning point in liberal opinion of the Clintons.

They've suddenly developed a disdain for Bill and Hillary Clinton.

Maybe it's because they're tired of the Clintons accusing others of being sleazy when the Clintons are covered with the same sleaze.

Will Democrats actually nominate a woman about whom they obviously have such fundamental misgivings?

Yes. It's all about power and though the Democrats may be wary of her, they know she can give them the power they want in the executive branch and the means to expand further the power of the central government to the detriment of our fundamental liberties.

The feds should indict the Clintons on RICO charges as they are most assuredly a criminal organization.
I’d like ot see the death penalty.

I still think Clintoon is easier to beat in the Prez race.

I recently read what Hussein said about our country getting rid of nuclear weapons, to “set an example” for everyone just scares the crap out of me.

It’s about time! We have had their number all along. We knew they were charlatans, cons, and would stoop to any depth to defeat anyone who stood in their way. They demonized the Republicans for thwarting their agendas back then, and now they are demonizing their own party for not just fawning over them again. It’s a new day, and Bill is now irrelevant, silly, petty, and just plain boring. It’s always been about HIM. And she has waited all these years, staying married to this philanderer, and it’s HER TURN. NO ONE better stand in her way. She’s waited too long for this anointing to be denied her. They both want back in the White House and to do what? We know what an idle Bill will do? Hillary is not liked, in fact hated by most Americans because she can’t hide her true evil, manipulative nature. I think she is worse than Bill and would so divide this country that we would not survive her Presidency. It’s NOT because she’s a woman. She’s just the wrong woman!

Without a doubt those two clowns are quickly becoming the schoolyard bullies everyone likes to hate. Two against one. OSama, ooops pardon me, Obama should just keep quite and let the VOMITS FROM HELL continue their game plan!

BFD. All the “outraged and shocked” liberals will still pull the lever for Hillary come November.

Knowing how people across the spectrum loathe her, I agree with that, with one caveat--I don't at all put it past her to cheat her way into being the 'rat nominee, and if she'd do that, she'd certainly cheat her way to the Oval Office. In a fair election, I believe she'd be beaten into slinking back with her tail between her legs, to take out her vitriol on ole Bill (couldn't happen to a finer fella though, LOL)

That’s not the game plan, however. All of this so-called fighting between Obama and Clinton is all a sham. I think both of them are playing it up on purpose and then guess what will happen? Hillary will get the nomination and Barack will be her VP.

Then there will be tons of stories about how these two, once bitter rivals, have put their differences aside for the good of the country and the entire world. Their combined ideas will be so wonderful that it will be the greatest administration in history. The MSM will be printing crap like this all the time.

I’d bet a month’s salary that all the bickering between Clintons and Obamas is carefully planned and orchestrated by both campaigns.

Hussein is way too softly-spoken for a political candidate for me not to be immediately suspicious of him. Not that I wouldn’t be anyway-he’s a ‘rat candidate, after all-but I am very suspicious of a man being that softly-spoken and conciliatory to “the people” in an American Presidential race. I think he has a very very scary agenda underneath all the charm and schmooze.

Agreed. I'm also betting that all this lib hating of Her Heinous is just as orchestrated.

The libs will all vote for Hillary in Nov. That means we have to be united behind one candidate also. I hope it is not Sen. Mac, but we could do worse, uh like Mrs. Hillbilly. Maybe Blacks and Jewish people will come to realize that their true home is with the more conservative party. I expect may Black people to vote against Mrs. Clinton, not only due to Bill’s craziness, but also for fundamental reasons like immigration.

Liberals are always behind when it comes to truth. I have been disgusted with the Clintons since ‘92.

They're libs after all, so it only took them twenty years to figure it out!
