I think that the DC crowd has simply snowed Hunter into this line of thinking. It’s the only logical explanation, but it does say that Hunter is not very independent in his thought processes. It;s this same sort of echo chamber stuff that has caused the DC pundits to declare McCain as the front runner and likely winner of the nomination.
