TIJUANA, Mexico (Reuters) - A teenager was injured when U.S. border patrol agents fired tear gas into Mexico over the weekend, despite a Mexican government complaint that U.S. agents were using excessive force.

Fifteen-year-old Cristian Saldana was hit in the nose by a tear gas canister on Saturday after he threw stones at border patrol agents trying to stop people from illegally crossing into the United States, witnesses said.

The teenager required stitches at a local hospital.

Mexico's government criticized the U.S. border patrol for using excessive force after border patrol agents fired tear gas in another incident on Friday.

Mexico said it would investigate the use of tear gas by U.S agents, which it said has disturbed families in their homes.

These people should be lucky I’m not in charge of securing the border. They’d have to get over an electric fence. Ones like in the movie Jurassic Park. Through an alligator infested moat unless it was the Rio Grande in which case it’d be stocked with pirhana’s. Then through a landmine field.

To be fair, I’ve had fun doing my share of drinking there.

“Mexico can bite me. I think I speak for most Americans.”

You don’t speak for me!

I still need to get my hepatitis B and C series of vaccinations. Later this month I’m going to start them. I travel too much to not be vaccinated.

I must say, the headline might have said something about the stone throwing. But I suppose you can’t expect anything else from Reuters. Or any of the others, for that matter.

ditto that ... the last time we did that, we were 5 couples. Three couples left, the two others elected to stay a little longer.

To make a long story short, they were mugged on their way back to their car. The cops didn't give a dam* when they finally did arrive.

Eggsactly Batman!

Confucius say: "Don't throw rocks at people who can throw bullets back at you."

I’m sure we wouldn’t have a story if a Border Patrol agent had been hit in the nose by a rock thrown by little Pedro.

Never show up with rocks at a tear gas fight. The BP agent probably shot the cannister at the young lad on purpose, and I can’t blame him.

Mexico continues to push it’s luck. I for one am damned tired of it. We should start ignoring every internal law on the Mexican books, until it gets religion.

To Mexico:

A tear gas canister?

Quitcherbitchen! It could have been a 150 gr 7.62 at 2800 fps.

The BP Agent should get some kind of reward for marksmanship. Hitting the target on the nose!

Lesson to be learned: Stay the hell away from the border. If you want in, there is a legal way to do it and you will then be welcome - until you start breaking our laws.
