The NAZI are in command. And there is nothing we can do except if we are on a jury to stick in in their ear and find them guilty and not the person who they have violated the Constitutional Rights of.

Mittens supports Massachusetts almost D.C. gun owner suppression laws.

No Romney male, since at least 1830 has ever served in the military. At all.

Plus, the guy went to Harvard.

So, culturally, and legally, he has been anti American with our God given rights to own firearms.

Savage said, "The people testing it have no procedures in writing and the testing will be in secret. Also if you know of information that proves YOUR innocence, maybe the BATFE won't claim that it's tax information at your trial and prevent YOUR judge from viewing it."

"The examined and test fired the rifle; then declared it to be 'just a rifle,'" Len Savage, a weaponry expert who runs Historic Arms LLC, said. "You would think it would all be resolved at this point, this was merely the beginning."

He said the Special Agent in Charge, Jody Keeku, asked for a re-test and specified that the tests use "soft primered commercial ammunition."

The results this time...'a machinegun.' ATF with a self-admitted 50 percent error rate pursued an indictment and Mr. Olofson was charged with 'Unlawful transfer of a machinegun.'.

And then during the trial, the prosecution told the judge it would not provide some information defense lawyers felt would clear their client,

BATFE, just another reason to be a proud American, right? I think we are waterboarding the wrong bunch...

My Olympic arms AR-15 did this often, until I learned how to clean it real good and replaced a few key parts.

Lessons here:

1. Keep your firearms in good shape.

2. Do not "loan" out guns.

3. Cops are not sympathetic.

4. Do not shoot at a range unless you have too and then check who is around for both safety and police presence. I avoid the range because most of the people there are idiots and I do not want to be around them.

Unless the basic justice system has changed you must have intent. A good lawyer or a pro se could argue that and use the recall in their favor. Screw the ATF tests. Demand independent tests and grill the "tester" endlessly on the stand.

Anytime a firing pin sticks after the first round a semi-auto will chain fire. It is a common thing to happen. This is why Winchester recalled the model 100 a few years back and changed the design of the firing pin.

This should thrill “W” considering the administration’s amicus brief in the D.C. gun ban case before the Supreme Court.

Wth??? Why did you bring Mitt Romney into this thread? So, an overzealous prosecutor and bureaucrat in ATF with more time on their hands than good sense is somehow twisted into an attack on Mitt Romney? Whatever did he do to deserve this?

Lastly, why not place the blame on the Democrats and those gun grabbers who are explicitly and actively trying to remove guns from the citizenry?

Bias is one thing; moronic bias another.

We go to a public range regularly because it is our only option.

For the most part, everyone is very safety conscious and respectful. However, every now and then we get a few guys that we give a very wide berth to and I’ll have to watch them like a hawk.

These are the guys that are practicing quick draws with their pistols and doing roll and shoots like the movies. They practice emptying their magazine as quickly as possible. And yes, in most every case these guys are cops.

Sub mediocre Mittbott ad hominem.
Me hurt.
Not.

Mittens is ruining for the executive office. He’s never gone to bat for gun owners, or anyone else for that matter.

Take the instance of the decorated US Army Lieutenant that wanted to be a police officer in Massachusetts. He shot his friend, harmlessly, with a BB gun when he was 11 and was charged. Mittens wouldn’t give him a pardon. Too risky for the prissy.

My Olympic arms AR-15 did this often, until I learned how to clean it real good and replaced a few key parts.

"Doubling" has been known since the first semiautomatics appeared over a century ago. Up until the mid-80s, ATF's written policy on doubling was "see your gunsmith". Then it changed to "contact your local ATF [as it was known then] office for further instructions." What was once either a maintenance problem, or a design flaw in a model they themselves approved, instead was used for self-incrimination.

Ever since the 1968 Gun Control Act, liberals have enabled BATFE to define their own rules, and their own secret test procedures. The gun grabbers asked for that, so they could redefine at their whim (and often in contraction to their own earlier policies) whatever it takes to get a conviction. The politicians are only too happy to provide, judges and juries are browbeaten into believing this is American "justice" at work. And most defense attorneys don't have the experience or the guts to challenge it.

Plus, the client can't spend the millions to beat the rap. Often BATFE is just the farm team, developing snitches for the FBI. Before it goes to trial, the defendant is offered the "opportunity" to work with the FBI in infiltrating some very nasty group that is too dangerous for our "professional experts" to deal with. Certain hard federal time vs. the chance of maybe surviving your work as a snitch, that's what's offered.

How do I know this? Because my friend of 30 years, who had a Class III FFL until the Clintons ordered BATFE to put 90% of FFL holders out of business, was told so by BATFE agents. He said it was amazing how much they'd open up during their biannual inspections if plied them with coffee and donuts while they blasted away with his inventory using his ammo as they "inspected" the merchandise somewhere out in the boondocks. He made sure they left happy, and he was never hassled until the letter came that said his license renewal was denied.

And all of this is why I use a titanium firing pin in my AR15. I know all about soft commercial primers. If they're in a bad mood, BATFE will even claim that the shallowest indentation on an unfired primer is proof that you have an illegal automatic weapon.

Equals my experiences when I lived in Kalifornia. The range there was also where cops qualified with their service weapons. I was there one day when they had a session going. I never even unpacked a gun. I ran from the place with my hair on fire. It was down right scary.

This should be struck down as having a “chilling effect” on our 2nd Amendment rights.

Oh, that’s right - that was the intended effect.

I advise any interested parties to order a military style rifle this year. Who knows what’ll be available shortly after 1/2009? I’m vacillating between an AR style and piston operated myself. I’d like both 5.56 mm and 6.5 mm capability. The new Masada rifle looks interesting, as does the XCR.

Sadly, any of the interesting options will start at about $2K including optics. I guess making sure it never malfunctions has become a bit more of a priority. :-P
