Yeah, Fred mentioned in an interview earlier this year that he and Lieberman were good friends. The interviewer then asked if he would consider picking Lieberman for VP, and Thompson didn’t give a definite answer.

I don’t think anyone would give a definitive answer just yet. after the primary however....

The only candidate that I think would accept VP would be Thompson. McCain would accept SecDef only. Rudy is to volatile, and that whole baggage with his girlfriend, now wife.

The others, Mitt, Duncan, Huckabee, may be viable as Prez the next go around, eight years later. Why be a warm bucket of spit?
