Jews have lived as dhimmis in Arab lands for hundreds of years - over a millenium in fact - and for Jews to gain a position of power and strength is something that is foreign to the Arab mind. Its a reversal of the natural order of things. That is why Jews are hated - for remaining Jews as well as defying the divine edict on their presumed lowliness of place.

First, even if both are Semitic races, still it's a fact that Arabs hate Jews racially and religiously (Arab racism & Islamic Jihad).
