Skeptical Scientists Urge World To ‘Have the Courage to Do Nothing' At UN Conference

BALI, Indonesia - An international team of scientists skeptical of man-made climate fears promoted by the UN and former Vice President Al Gore, descended on Bali this week to urge the world to "have the courage to do nothing" in response to UN demands.

Lord Christopher Monckton, a UK climate researcher, had a blunt message for UN climate conference participants on Monday.

"Climate change is a non problem. The right answer to a non problem is to have the courage to do nothing," Monckton told participants.

"The UN conference is a complete waste of our time and your money and we should no longer pay the slightest attention to the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change,)" Monckton added. (LINK)

Monckton also noted that the UN has not been overly welcoming to the group of skeptical scientists.

Global Warming is a religious cult. It ignores science - and reality. As I write, southwestern Colorado is engulfed by a massive snowstorm. The attendees at Bali are sadly out of touch with the reality of Mother Nature. No attention should be paid to them.

I’ve noticed the inconvenient truth is, that Algore always seems to keep himself a couple of continents away from wherever Lord Monckton is, at the time.

Still avoiding that debate?

Global Warming is a religious cult.

STAVANGER, Norway, Dec. 10 (UPI)

-- Former U.S. Vice President and Nobel Peace laureate Al Gore consented to casts of his bare feet being taken to decorate a peace pathway in Norway.

Sunday, Gore had the castings taken in Stavanger, from which bronze footprints will be made for a Path of Peace created by the human rights foundation, Point of Peace, the Stavanger Aftenblad newspaper reported.

"Funny and nice, a very good idea. I have never heard of this, but I think it is a very good idea," Gore told the newspaper.

But the time for debate is over!!! Even though it never really began. ;)

Just about sums up the entire democrat party.

Great tagline material

Reminds me of the old story of the overly-excited Marine screwing up the medicating of a wounded man and the observant commanding officer blurting out, “For God’s sake, son, don’t just do something, stand there.”

“Global Warming is a religious cult.”

I think “scientific cult” would be a better description.

Monckton also noted that the UN has not been overly welcoming to the group of skeptical scientists.

This fact in itself is quite telling.
Any controversy where one side spends inordinate amounts of time and energy preventing dissent or announcing that the "issue is settled" immediately sets off all kinds of alarms for me. Even knowing nothing about the controversy allows me to choose the "right" side, based on that alone.

Suppression of dissenting argument is the most powerful tool of totalitarians, large and small.

Hi homie! That's what folks around my place call the other side of Mosquito Pass--you know, the burro race that dare not speak it's name :) I'm not up at our place in Alma today. Not sure how much we got.
