H-R-CNN [Media Bias Alert]
Investor's Business Daily ^ | November 29, 2007

CNN can spare us the alibis for letting Democratic operatives slip past them as questioners in this week's Republican debate. The Hillary Rodham Clinton News Network may be as dishonest as it is slanted.

All it took was a Web search to figure out that the supposedly independent retired Brig. Gen. Keith Kerr, whose video question for the candidates was chosen by CNN for the GOP YouTube debate, was a co-chairman of a Clinton campaign organization.

Yet after CNN's Anderson Cooper innocently announced "another question from a YouTube viewer. Let's watch," came a gravelly voice right out of George C. Scott's portrayal of Gen. George Patton, as Kerr rattled off his biographical data.

"I'm a retired brigadier general with 43 years of service, and I'm a graduate of the Special Forces Officer Course, the Command and General Staff Course, and the Army War College," Kerr said. "And I'm an openly gay man."

What Kerr — and Cooper — left out of his resume was not only that Kerr was this month named to a top spot in "Veterans and Military Retirees for Hillary," according to a press release from her campaign, but that he was also on the National Veterans Steering Committee of Sen. John Kerry's 2004 presidential campaign.

Kerr's question was designed to make the more socially conservative Republicans look bad — and indeed those were exactly the candidates (California Rep. Duncan Hunter, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney — two Baptists and a Mormon) directed by Cooper to answer it.

If Wednesday's debate had been staged by the Democratic National
Committee, it's hard to see how the questions could have been much
different.

This was clearly a set up.

CNN said they got some 5000 Utube questions — what are the odds that 5 of the 30 questions actually chosen are by Democrat plants? The odds are infinitesimal, even if we assume random choice and if we add, that CNN was supposed to scrutinize the questions, the chances should be in the slim to none category.

Yet we have not one, but 5 Democrat plants — that we know of — and I wouldn’t be surprised if some of the others were plants as well.

We are left with the only reasonable explanation, that CNN was told exactly which questioners were Democrats plants and they picked them quite deliberately.

What I don’t understand, why don’t the Republicans do a debate sponsored by FoxNews, insist on a Republican moderator, with a panel of 3-5 Republicans asking questions of the candidates, that REPUBLICAN voters are interested in, to decide which candidate they should support and vote for.

Right. “A YouTube viewer.”

I can just see them steering the shuffling old geezer to sit down at the computer.

“Talk into this thing? This is going on the interweb-what-now?”

Lies! ALL LIES!

Fans of the "Austin Powers" movies remember the incomparable Mindy Sterling playing Frau Farbissina and her famous, or infamous if you prefer, line. And that line, originally delivered in jest, now also infamously fits Brig. Gen. Keith H. Kerr, the Poofter Royale.
As reported in the December 19, 2003 article Gay generals come out against military ban by Joe Crea at the "Washington Blade" the Brig. Gen. showed through his actions that he has been a liar for quite some time.

During his 43-year career in the United States Army, Brig. Gen. Keith H. Kerr said he worried regularly that someone would discover his sexual orientation.

Now for those who have never served in the military you may wonder why I've chosen "Lies! ALL LIES!" as the title of this piece. Those who have served in the past have probably started to connect the dots already.
You see, back "in the day" you had to answer some questions about your sexual proclivities and you were expected to answer them honestly, and honorably. The "honor" aspects of the officer corps, more so than the enlisted ranks, made answering these questions honestly even more important as any improprieties made the whole officer's corp look bad.
And here we have Kerr coming along and he's now making "honor", for which military officers are renowned, a joke. He lied to enlist in the military. He lied to his fellow officers by not disclosing his proclivities. He lied to himself by thinking that he could get away forever with his honor intact!
Well, Sir, you are no officer, have shown that you have no honor and are now a known LIAR! You placed your own career advancement above the reputation of the military and nation you served. You left yourself open to blackmail and endangered the information contained within your pea brain. It's no wonder you "had to be very cautious about my lifestyle"!
If it were known that you were a faggot (yes, I used the word of the day!) you would've been drummed out of the military in a heartbeat. And it wasn't because of what you were...IT WAS BECAUSE YOU LIED! You would never have been accepted into the military if you would've been truthful!
And how apropos, and with what poetic justice it is, that another known liar, Hillary!, would have Kerr working for her. He is richly deserving of the ignominy he's bringing upon his own head.

It is a sad state of affairs, when this kind of Journalistic slant is allowed to happen and to go on as if nothing has happened.

If the bios of the “Brigadier General” that were all over the net yesterday - in actuality his highest rank in the active military was Colonel - and he achieved Brigadier General status as part of a California State Militia group - which IS not the same as the National Guard if I understand the statements on their websites. Lies on top of lies....

I'm with you. The debates are supposed to show what our candidates believe and what they would do to change things. Instead we get a bunch of contrived questions from people who aren't even Republicans, asked by Liberals who are actively working for a RAT president. What's wrong with this picture?

How about us getting a moderator of our choosing like Newt Gingrich, Robert Bork or Rush Limbaugh? If Rush were the moderator, I guarantee there would be a huge audience, listening to solidly conservative questions designed to show the difference between us and the socialists.

Did he spend 43 years in the Army or the Army and the California Militia combined?

43 years and only a Colonel?

Somebody knew and/or suspected that the Colonel could not jump out of airplanes for fear he would float away as a result of the lightness in his loafers.

Beautifully said. The results of the next presidential election will be a representation of how many Americans are able to see through the pervasive deceit (an ability you have exhibited remarkably well, in this thread and elsewhere :) ... and their ability to extrapolate the moral/political/societal effect of a mountain of 'leadership' lies.

If they are unwilling, or unable, to do so, we'll not survive four more years of a Clinton presidency.

Our daughter attended a party a few years ago at which, during a game they were playing, she was asked the question, 'If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be?'

Her response was, 'I would make it impossible for anyone to lie.'

On the surface, I considered that a 'noble', if trivial, response. But, in the years that have followed, and during episodes such as the one that is the focus of this thread, I have come to realize just how transforming that would be. Take some time to consider the powerful ramifications that would result. (For one thing, unless the entitlement class, and illegal immigrants, eventually outnumber the rest of us, a leftist/socialist would never again be elected to national office.)
