You shouldn't have so much confidence in polls. They are lacking for several reasons:

1. They target a very small percentage of the population.

2. They can target a group of people they know will give a specific response.

3. Pollsters can structure a question a specific way to illicit a specific response.

4. Pollsters can disregard any responses they deem undesirable.
