At least one person has died and six more are injured after a powerful explosion ripped through the South Wing entrance of the Phillippines’ House of Representatives. The blast occured on Tuesday evening local time, just moments after a session ended.

The Philippine’s used to be a US territory, so that “argument” might not work here. And yes, the Muslims were one of the primary insurgent groups following the Philippine-American War(war lasted from 1899 to 1902; insurgency continued until 1913).
Do we have a time of occurrence on this?
I like to watch close for at least two hours after a significant attack, given Al Qaeda’s global reach and affinity for multiple, simultaneaus, attacks.

The wierdest thing about US involvement in the Philippines was that after Black Jack Pershing quelled the Muslim uprising, using the well-known technique of executing most of the rebels captured with bullets ostentatiously dipped in pig fat, then releasing the rest to tell the tale, the Muslims militated for the Philppines to enter the US as a state, figuring that freedom of religion was better than living in a majority Roman Catholic country without such a constitutional provision.
now THIS one (as opposed to random oil plants, tire burnings, etc), probably WILL turn out to be terrorism, of some variety!
