With his announcement that his Administration will now seek nearly $200 billion in supplemental funding for overseas military operations, President Bush is once again asking Congress and the American people to foot the bill for his failed leadership. The Bush Administrations escalation in Iraq has not led to political reconciliation and our troops still remain in the middle of a civil war. As I have said before, I cannot and will not support funding legislation that does not begin to bring our troops home. Our men and women in uniform are serving bravely and honorably funding a failing strategy does not serve our troops or our nation. We should begin the withdrawal of U.S. troops safely and responsibly. Unless the Administration changes course in Iraq, I will vote against this supplemental request.

In the 2008 election Hillary! will get ten times, maybe a hundred times the votes that Dubya gets. Her campaign is that powerful.
“I cast this vote with conviction.”
Oh, Hillie....
“failed leadership” —
Again: Can anyone imagine a Senator saying such a thing during WWII about FDR? In public, I mean.

Hillary is OLD WOMAN DEAD MEAT, now is the time for a true conservative to take over and project adult leadership.

“Some people in Congress are fixated on the question, ‘how can the federal government solve people’s problems?’ This is the wrong question. The better question is, ‘do Americans want the same people who brought us Hurricane Katrina relief, massive passport processing delays and the IRS to give us even more ‘solutions’ to our problems?’” — Representative Virginia Foxx (R-NC5), 04 October, 2007
