...he doesnt like being in the spot light ... A politician who doesn't like the spotlight?! That'll be a first.

That wasn’t a apology. It came too late and should have started with apologies to the President.

his ‘apology’ to the troops was by far the weakest attempt at any apology I’ve seen from a politician. It almost seemed like he forgot to mention the people he offended the MOST, THE TROOPS!

Can you imagine having grown up as the flower child of 2 certifiably nutso flower children parents? I actually know one who lived on a commune in San francisco and then Spain...she hasn't spoken to her parents in years. She is still very, very angry. As she explained it to me once, "Growing up without rules is like being thrown out of the boat and into the ocean without a life vest and being told, 'See you on shore.'"

I can’t get enough of this story. :D

I think the phrase you want to use is “...use so much profanity” rather than “..are so profane”.
Not sure if its okay to post, but I got a kick out of the following over at DU:
“In general, right wingers are schoolyard bullies. We all need to stand up to them when we speak truth, and support each other in this.
It is time that we formed a united front in the face of republican aggressors. Republicans are corrupt and conscienceless, and use hate, lies, and aggressive behavior/violence in order to get their way.
These people are are generally ignorant and compassionless human beings, and they are destroying our country.
It is time to stand up and call them on their bulls$^&*.
Just say “no” to republicans.”

Embattled Democrat Pete Stark has just publicly apologized to "the president and his family." Which proves that Stark Raving is a fake, phony fraud, a liar, and a hypocrite. Everyone knows that he meant exactly what he said.
Nobody's buying it, Stark Raving.
What an America-hater he is.

"I hope that with this apology, I return to being as insignificant as I should be," he concluded though a voice cracking with emotion. Is that a stab at humility?
To: ponygirl
As she explained it to me once, "Growing up without rules is like being thrown out of the boat and into the ocean without a life vest and being told, 'See you on shore.'" I hope your friend is doing better now!
To: lesser_satan
It’s basicaly saying he repents but shame on those who made him insignificant. It’s a sort of snipy repent.
Shameless b2st2rds who like to shame America. Sick folkes. hillary’s kind.

FreeRepublic, for example, is full of satire. DU is just filled with whining and hate. Accurate observation. ...and that's the most conspicuous difference between the two websites. Satire, wit, irony, and lighthearted banter are completely absent from leftist forums. ....even when the Donks are in power. An all-consuming anger and humorlessness prevails at all times.
