However..

Every time I see an “obesity epidemic” story, I always see that the people who are quoted are going for government funding.

And, they fail to define “obesity” in terms other than that set up people who stand to gain financially by having the greatest number of people be “obese”.

Just saying... follow the money... past the all-you-can-eat buffet... and you’ll see my point.
