Too funny, too true. The Nobel Prize committee jumped the shark with this one.

Anyone who thinks finds this funny.
Those on the left who worship St. Algore find things like this to be annoying.

The divide in America today is striking. I don’t know if it can ever be healed.

It’s true that the divide is there, and it’s not likely to be healed.

However, what do you propose we do? It’s not meant as a question to cause an arguement, but I don’t know what to do about it myself.

I only see two options, both highly unlikely: Either they (the lib wingnuts) suddenly have a massive wake-up and decide to join the rest of us to save the nation, or we go to war against each other, with one side or the other being weakened or eliminated.

(Yes, I sometimes tend to think in extremes.)

What can you expect from the same group that gave Jimmah Cahtah and Arafat “Peace” prizes? These folks haven’t touched reality in decades.

“However, what do you propose we do?”

I have no clue what to do. Just an observation. The mechanism for sustaining the divide is firmly in place. The libs use the media and the schools to indoctrinate young minds. Conservatives use parenting skills and private schools/home schooling to counter the lib techniques.

A lib wake up is nearly impossible. A civil war is unlikely. I see a slow decline of the republic due to constant assault from within. The end game will be the North American Union. The USA will end up as a quaint old notion.

It’ll be healed. The old hippies won’t be around forever, and I think the second childhood they’ve enjoyed since 2003 is just about done.

I don't find your thought extreme - of course I'm in the middle of the enemy camp....Seattle.

The only thing short of war that might help up here is if coffee brewing was found to cause global warming.

Gore is donating the money to the foundation that he runs. What a swill guy. I hope the check bounces.

How do you peg it as being 2003? I figured they never grew up.

Yes, the old hippies will die off, but their legacy lives on. The university of Iowa was in the news today, 27 history professors, all Democrats. The chair of the department says they’ve done nothing wrong. Right.

The indoctrination mechanism is firmly in place.

This guy begs to differ that the shark jumping happened earlier...

I think (and hope to G-d I’m wrong) that a massive WMD attack on a Western city will permanently put a dagger in the current culture war.

The question then is what will then emerge. A Hillary-lead police state? An urban-depopulated, Christian values-lead America?

I’m thinking the prize money can help Algore pay his household energy bills and for his use of private jets.

Anybody who uses such massive amounts of fossil fuels needs help paying for that stuff!

You may very well be right. It seems reasonable. It would take many dead to wake the navel gazing, self hating left.

Another option is that the liberals (aka Communists) manage to trick the majority into allowing them to force themselves upon everyone. It's been done before...many times.

It's hard to tell exactly where the rabbit hole will take us, to borrow a few lines from Mr. Carroll, but the destination doesn't look pretty.

Behold the new orthodoxy. It is amusing if a little distressing to note the ease with which it was established and the purposes to which it is about to be put. These aren't, broadly speaking, people who could affect the Future Of The Planet no matter what degree of political power this mass of hysteria and pseudoscience confers, but they are people who can and have every intention to control your life with it. What invoking The Future Of The Planet does confer is the right to pick your pocket, dictate your personal behavior, and empower an enormous army of bluenoses and busybodies to wreck your life. The kiddies may or may not buy into this little social control scam but they will learn that it's smarter to run with the hounds which, from the point of view of the econazis, is good enough. Just shut up and go along, citizen, and there'll be no problem.

As far as the Nobel Peace Prize committee goes one need only remind oneself that this is the group of people who gave the likes of Jimmuh Cahtuh the prize for producing the universal peace that the Middle East now enjoys. These idiots could take a 1000-ton granite boulder and in the space of 24 hours either lose it or screw it up.

Not that the econazis are much of an improvement - peas in a pod IMHO. They'd paint the boulder pink and claim it was to prevent the paint fairies from coming to paint it purple and look how well that worked! The cynical might suspect that when the ocean fails to inundate Manhattan it will be ascribed to the great work of St. Algore and not to the fact that the whole thing was a crock to begin with. The cynical will be correct.

Hey, what’s a little homosexual pedophile terrorism to the Nobel prize committee? I still think that Al Gore is a bigger joke than Arafat as a peace prize recipient. . . not because he is a more ironic choice, not because Algore is a more disgusting and inconcievable recipient, but just because he is a flat-out a sillier, less dignified choice. Algore is a guy that gets made fun of for his “carbon-butt-print” and has had people holding up “Sore/Loserman” signs.
