Alexandria ready to serve illegals (Va)

The city of Alexandria, Va., is expected to pass a resolution tonight renewing its commitment to extend public services to illegal aliens.

"We are reaffirming and recommitting our services and outreach to international citizens," Mayor William D. Euille, a Democrat, said yesterday.

The seven-member City Council will vote on a two-page resolution that outlines Alexandria's intent to comply with state and federal immigration laws but not question the immigration status of people seeking public services.

Mr. Euille said that the resolution should pass unanimously but that Alexandria has no figures on the cost of providing services to illegal aliens.

"We haven't calculated that, and we probably won't calculate that," he said. "We have money designated for human services, but it's not broken down by race."

Alexandria must provide every resident with schooling, public health care and police protection. However, the city can extend such services as rental and burial assistance, job placement and emergency Medicaid without mandatory proof of legal residence, according to a memorandum to the resolution.

I've never heard that one before. I guess that's the next thing. Hillary would approve.

"We are reaffirming and recommitting our services and outreach to international citizens," Mayor William D. Euille, a Democrat, said yesterday.

What exactly is an "international citizen"? Is being an "international citizen sufficient to be eligible for the town services, or must the peoson actually break our laws and come to this country illegally to become eligible? Are they committed to serving ALL 6,000,000,000 million "international citizens"?

Let’s just see how the good folks of Alexandria feel about paying exorbitant taxes to pay for ever increasing illegals and their benefits and medical bills all the while illegals break their laws.

Under section 642(a) of IIRIRA, a “Federal, State, or local government entity or official may not prohibit, or in any way restrict, any government entity or official from sending to, or receiving from, the Immigration and Naturalization Service information regarding the citizenship or immigration status, lawful or unlawful, of any individual.”

If the locals know these folks are here illegally, local authorities had better be planning on telling the Feds.

Wonder what Alexandria’s citizens think about this? Do their property taxes go for these programs? What about federal dollars?

Get out the word. “International citizens, Alexandria, Virginia, welcomes you.”

If enough people got together and refused payment of their taxes they might sing a different tune.

You’re kidding.....right? I’d say, let the people of VA that want to pay for this handle it. Those that don’t shouldn’t have to pay anything. That should show their government where the peoples feelings are.

I live in Alexandria. It is rife with illegals.

The maid comes a day early (included in the rent) and I ask her to come tomorrow. No habla ingles.

The pizza delivery man needs additional directions. I think, I could barely make out what he was trying to say. No habla ingles.

The construction worker is blocking off an adjoining road for no reason that I could see. I asked him what was going on. No habla ingles.

I could go on and on. You know what, I can empathize with someone crossing the border illegally to make a buck. If I were in their situation, I’d definitely take the risk. But, for eff’s sake, learn the effin’ language.

“International citizens”! Like “dual citizenship”? Or is this newspeak replacing “undocumented workers”?

So, Alexandria is joining the list of sanctuary cities. I wonder what the good people of Virginia have to say about that?

This is what happens when Democrats run the city council and the mayor’s office.

Alexandria is 70% Democratic.

Surprisingly, there are a lot of wonderful things about the city, despite all of the whining, hand wringers who run it.

BTW, Mayor Euille just commissioned a $2500.00 gold medallion that he will wear to city events. He was shown in the local paper with it just last week(wearing a shi* eating grin in the picture).

That’s real accountability, isn’t it?

At VA taxpayers expense naturally. Ah, those libs eat this sh*t up. Best thing for the taxpayers should it ever occur to the RATS is to enforce the law and rid the state of free-loading criminals.

A week or so ago I heard of a group of folks from New England and the South getting together to try to determine hoe to get their states to leave the Union.
I’m surprised this hasn’t been a big topic as I don’t agree with the federal govt and neither does a lot of others.

"We haven't calculated that, and we probably won't calculate that," he said. "We have money designated for human services, but it's not broken down by race."

This isn't about race and never was. This is about aiding and abetting those who are in this country illegally. Taxpayers should not be forced to subsidize those who are in this country illegally.
